Calyx Clinique 2014

Many thanks to Theresa for the sample of Calyx (2014) :-) Here it shows once again that the broad opinion of the Parfumo community doesn't necessarily reflect my feelings. To me, it smells really nice and fruity. It reminds me of that one shampoo... what was it called again... those moaning women in the shower in the commercials (that was quite disturbing as a child)... Exactly! Herbal Essences! At least one variety smelled like that, which my mother or sister once used (without any strange noises coming from the bathroom). The longevity is surprisingly good. Even after 12 hours, I can still smell a subtle fruitiness on my arm. The sillage is, especially at the beginning, successful.

The top note has a fruity and fresh shampoo scent with grapefruit, passion fruit, and slightly green nuances. The heart note remains tropical-fruity with floral and green aromas of freesias and jasmine blossoms. Even in the base, it smells fruity, green, and floral. Here I recognize iris and violet. Sandalwood adds a certain creaminess to the fragrance.

This is a really nice, fresh, fruity, and summery everyday scent. I like it!
