Oh, what a positive surprise!
Many thanks to Theresa for the bottling of Calyx (2014) :-) This shows once again that the broad opinion of the Parfumo community does not necessarily cover my feelings. For me, the whole thing smells really nice and fruity. I have to think of this one shampoo...what was it called again...those women moaning in the shower in the commercials (it was disturbing as a child)...Exactly! Herbal Essences! At least that's what a variety my mother or sister used to smell like (without making any funny noises from the bathroom). The longevity is amazingly good. Even after 12 hours, I can still smell a subtle fruitiness on my arm. The sillage is successful, especially at the beginning.
The top note smells like a fruity and fresh shampoo with grapefruit, passion fruit and slightly green notes. The heart note remains tropical and fruity with floral and greenish aromas of freesia and jasmine blossom. The base also smells fruity, green and floral. Here I recognize iris and violet. Sandalwood adds a certain balsamic quality to the fragrance.
This is a really beautiful, fresh, fruity and summery everyday fragrance. I like!
