Dark Luxury Sin – Not for the Faint of Heart

When it comes to pricing, Clive Christian is always a tricky subject. But what can I say? The name "Hedonistic" completely lives up to the hype here.

Scent: 9/10
Right after the first spray, a massive, thick, almost liqueur-like black cherry hits your nose. This cherry is accompanied by a zesty grapefruit and a green twist of clary sage, giving the fragrance a slightly restless but incredibly thrilling development. You can tell right away that this is no soft, cozy scent.
After a few minutes, the fruitiness steps back a bit to make room for the actual star of the show: a deep, dark, almost dirty leather that takes complete control. The fragrance now becomes noticeably smokier and drier, mostly thanks to the interplay between rough, spicy tobacco and an earthy touch of papyrus, which adds a mystical depth to the whole composition. It simply smells expensive, wicked, and extremely confident.
It’s not until the late drydown that it transforms into a warm, balsamic cloud. The resinous labdanum literally melts into the sweetness of tonka bean and creamy vanilla, letting the fragrance fade out beautifully and elegantly.

Longevity: 9/10
The performance of this fragrance is exceptional.

Verdict:
Truly a fantastic and complex fragrance. Unfortunately, the price tag is so astronomical that you really have to think twice about whether you want to treat yourself to a scent like this.
