My rethink....
Hello everyone,
late tonight I would like to give you something to tell you about "AddictiveArts - Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic | Clive Christian" and about expensive fragrances in general!
At one point or another, some of you have already read this and know that I haven't just been around since yesterday (https://www.parfumo.de/Benutzer/Sirbennyone/Blog/Eintrag/meine-reise-begann-schon-vor-fast-24-jahren) and I have already experienced a certain range of fragrances as a result, but I am out of a certain price range and I distance myself from certain expensive fragrances (over 500€) and would not like to make a recommendation purely for moral reasons!
What we do here is a pure luxury hobby and I find it difficult to philosophize about prices and the "SENSE" - that's just by the way and indirectly it also starts the review...!
I recently got an old 75ml bottle (tall design) by chance and since paying for it I've had a strange feeling, in the sense of soooo much money for so few ml...my golden Nishane's ( Nefs , Mana and Hacivat Oud ) also had a price x, but those were used and somehow it was still ok... and YES it was a blind buy (!) of the old "AddictiveArts - Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic | Clive Christian" . I had smelled it fleetingly before Corona (I think in 2019) and forgot about it pretty quickly...
It arrived and WOW a chic bottle, its finish, color, sprayer and the lid = I can't complain or find anything that doesn't suit me.
I also have to say that I bought a 2ml bottle of the current and small 50ml bottles, because I want to test them noticeably and effectively 1:1!
Now finally to the fragrance:
The old one starts a little smoky and a certain punch of tobacco spreads, but only a short time later x to xx fragrance notes come flying around my ears. Something fruity (grapefruit), something green and herbaceous (sage and opium), some leather, iris and a certain sweetness...
The new one has that too, but noticeably more subtle and the focus is more on black cherry and vanilla and it generally seems to be a little more pleasing than the old one.
The new one is developing more and more into a very well-balanced fragrance that is really trimmed for pleasantness and that is one of the noticeable differences between the two.
While the old one plays with tobacco, leather and the green herbaceousness in the drydown, there are already noticeably different scents in the drydown.
Performance:
Both are relatively similar in this respect and both in the H/S, yes those take a different course, but both end (temporally) more or less the same, so I didn't notice any significant differences.
How do they arrive and when would I recommend them?
There are already minor differences!
The old one is noticeably more masculine than the new one, just by the way, and I would only recommend the old one from fall to winter to spring, but for almost any occasion and the new one always goes and always fits (so I wouldn't take the new one in midsummer anyway, but that's just a personal point of view)!
The price and is the fragrance worth the price....?
It's really hard for me to say "yes man" or "100% no", because yes (!) it's already a hit (and now an important point), you can already notice the fine tuning, the high-quality aspect and you can already tell that it's the same with (most!) fragrances from the house - oh come on, let's add something better/more expensive...
Many houses in the niche sector, such as MFK, work primarily on a purely synthetic basis, but here you notice a certain difference in quality!!!!
My conclusion on the subject of price, purchase and recommendation ...,
IF you find a leftover bottle, take it and, if possible, do NOT pay the new price,
then I recommend certain fragrances of the house, such as this one!
I am very happy with my old one!
If I wasn't really convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny
