Exactly, Sugi refers to a different tree, actually the Japanese cedar, which can also offer a great scent character, especially the rare Yakusugi when the trees are over 1000 years old.
I don't know if the scent is like that since I haven't tested it, but I do know that I really like Sugi, or more specifically, Yakusugi. At least I got to try an oil of it.
It has a charming Japanese spirit. CdG Synthetik in a pleasant way. This forest is airy and light. Sugi refers to a cypress species from Japan. But oddly enough, the notes mention Mediterranean cypress.
