Comptoir Cologne - little expected, much received

After hearing and reading a lot about this, I am still at the beginning of my fragrance journey, there was a special offer at the drugstore today. A sonorous name, a pretty nostalgic box, why not?
Allegedly also a men's fragrance, so it couldn't be that wrong.
Unpacked at home, sprayed on. Immediately, everything was filled with a delicious scent of mandarins. Almost like during the Christmas season. In the background, something spicy. At first, it was hard to grasp.
After a while, however, the mandarin slowly made way for something deeper. The fresh note did not get lost. But now the mandarin was not only fruity, it was also sweet.
Spain, Mediterranean scents. An orange grove. Something floral still in store.
Then suddenly, there was a church in the orange grove. It smelled of incense. At first lightly, subtly, but then quite clearly. Festive and precious.
Like with black high church incense, styrax and amber made their appearance.
A scent that I wouldn't mind on a woman.
For the money, definitely worth a purchase.

Just bought it, tested it... and now I'm sitting in the church in the orange grove. You described that very beautifully. Trophy :)
