Eau de Cacao Coppeneur 2006

Eau de Cacao, the name says it all! Chocolate to spray - warm, dark chocolate with rum and nuts. A good chocolate, not some sugary and fatty mush...but one with a high cocoa content, from the gourmet shop.
The Eau de Cacao is very skin-close, enveloping you in a cozy chocolate coat. This is not a scent that fills the room or produces large fragrance halos around you. I love the smell of chocolate...I don't necessarily have to eat it, but I want to smell it! And this particular chocolate scent is incredibly beautiful.
It has decent longevity, but after about 3-4 hours, it noticeably fades. I couldn't detect a significant fragrance development; the sweet, slightly floral elements weaken after a while, the chocolate becomes a bit more bitter, woodier, but everything remains minimal...it actually just becomes weaker.
