Cacao. Cocoa!! EAU DE CACAO!!! So cocoa to spray!... Well, are you drooling yet??
Hello, you scent enthusiasts and sweet-tooths! Today we’re talking about a fragrance that sounds delicious just by its name: Eau de Cacao (by Coppeneur)! Now, let’s be honest: Who among you doesn’t like cocoa? It’s a bit like coffee… it smells really good even when you just sniff the cocoa powder (or coffee powder), and it actually tastes good when you drink it, no matter when and how you drink it. Hot on cold days or cold on hot days! Wow, that’s quite a tongue twister, he he :D

Moreover, cocoa is good in many ways: It tastes good, it makes you happy, and since it’s usually made with milk, it really helps if you’ve burned your tongue on spicy food. You know (hopefully) that you shouldn’t drink water with overly spicy food, because it just spreads the heat more on your tongue and the cooling effect only feels good for a short time. Many say you should eat bread instead, as it supposedly absorbs the spicy elements, which is true. However, psychologically speaking, bread doesn’t help many because it feels dry and warm. That’s why milk is the best choice to eliminate spiciness, as it’s fatty and washes the heat off your tongue. And together with cocoa, you get a nice aftertaste as well. So if you want to show off this summer while grilling that you can handle really spicy stuff, then occasionally take a discreet sip of cocoa instead of water, cola, or beer, if you’re a wuss and feel like you’ve bitten into a hot pepper and want to hide that fact :DD

He he, but now I finally get to the scent… since I’m already craving cocoa and will surely have some of that chocolatey powder soon (wow, that sounds drug-addicted!), I’ll quickly write the scent description and then make myself milk with tea… NO, I meant milk with cocoa!!

The scent:
It immediately smells of sweet cocoa. Well, actually more like a mix of cocoa and chocolate, making the scent particularly sweet but also particularly delicious. Thus it makes your mouth water, stimulates cravings, and distracts you because you want to grab something sweet to snack on, and I’m NOT talking about you perfumes (because I know you think that again, that I might have meant that, since I write this too often and so…)!!! Besides, you wouldn’t snack anyway… at least not from me… which is always so mean… ARGH!

Okay, wait a second…. I’ll quickly grab something to snack on… of course chocolate (it has to be eaten before it starts to melt in this heat!) May you drool now!!

Alright, let’s continue with the scent description. As I said, the scent is currently very chocolatey, with the chocolate coming across as powdery. The cocoa notes are somewhat overshadowed because the scent now generally smells intensely of chocolate. Slowly, however, it develops another aromatic and even “juicy” or let’s say “airy” chocolate note, which definitely makes me think of the mentioned pralines, and I believe these pralines are even filled with a bit of rum.
Even much later, about six to seven hours after spraying, the scent smells sweet and powdery of chocolate, now however with a lot of vanilla added, with the vanilla becoming stronger over time, so that the very late base only smells of vanilla.
A lovely scent for everyone who especially likes chocolate and vanilla!

The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is quite okay, and you can smell the fragrance from not too far away. The chocolate initially smells quite intense, but overall the scent has a rather medium sillage, so it’s not particularly strong, but also not too weak.
The longevity is enormous with such scents… you can still faintly smell the vanilla on your skin the next morning.

The bottle:
The bottle is red and looks as if it represents a lady in a red evening gown, with the brown, oval cap being the head. However, it’s more likely that the bottle represents a cocoa fruit, where the cocoa beans are inside. The cocoa fruit looks similar (that is, like the bottle, not like a woman!) and can be red as well as orange. In any case, the bottle is interesting and beautiful, but the fragrance name doesn’t seem to be printed anywhere on it.

So! Wow, I’m about to drool here, folks. The scent is so delicious and, as described, also stimulates cravings, so I’m sure I’ve gained a whole kilo while testing this fragrance. So don’t be surprised if I write again that especially women (I find the scent more feminine than unisex) must smell ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS with this scent. Or you smell as if you’ve spilled a glass of cocoa on yourself, since you’re probably just as clumsy as a sweet friend of mine who constantly spills (and then always looks around discreetly to see if anyone noticed that she’s too incapable of holding a fork properly… :DD).

Anyway, I find this scent very simple but still successful because it smells beautifully gourmand. Due to the intense chocolate notes, I think this scent is best worn in autumn and winter, and I would choose the evening (for going out, partying, etc.) as the occasion.

So, I’m done for today and wish you all a nice evening. Try the scent if you get the chance, eat something spicy (it’s a fat-burner after all!) and drink a lot of cocoa (which will then bring back all that burned fat, mu ha ha ha :DD).
See you then! :)

Dark Chocolate with Rum and Nuts
Eau de Cacao, the name says it all! Chocolate to spray - warm, dark chocolate with rum and nuts. A good chocolate, not some sugary and fatty mush...but one with a high cocoa content, from the gourmet shop.
The Eau de Cacao is very skin-close, enveloping you in a cozy chocolate coat. This is not a scent that fills the room or produces large fragrance halos around you. I love the smell of chocolate...I don't necessarily have to eat it, but I want to smell it! And this particular chocolate scent is incredibly beautiful.
It has decent longevity, but after about 3-4 hours, it noticeably fades. I couldn't detect a significant fragrance development; the sweet, slightly floral elements weaken after a while, the chocolate becomes a bit more bitter, woodier, but everything remains minimal...it actually just becomes weaker.

Bite me, scratch me, give me animal names
Eau de Cacao makes everyone wild.
Lustfully, they throw themselves at you, sniffing as if there were no tomorrow, as if I had cocaine on me and everyone is addicted.
Anyone wearing Eau de Cacao should be prepared for the supermarket cashier, the postman, colleagues, and all friends to fall upon him/her drooling and completely out of their minds.
Singles of this world, wear Eau de Cacao and you won't be able to escape admirers. They will flood your place. They will grin at you with a silly, dreamy look. They will kiss your feet.
However, those who prefer to have their peace should wear this insane fragrance only in the privacy of their own room, so to speak, to indulge themselves.
It makes you powerless, it is pure sex in a bottle.
The chocolate-rum-musk mixture is truly something else, there is no escape.

A Day Without Chocolate is a Wasted Day
“Strength is the ability to break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands - and then eat just one of those pieces” ~ Judith Viorst

It is early in the morning after a long, desperately needed sleep that has left me refreshed yet not quite awake. The sun is just rising from the light blue expanse of the nearby sea, and the scent of the night still lingers in the air, slowly retreating - it is clear that it will be a hot day. But not yet, as I wrap myself tightly in my blanket, settling on the balcony to watch the morning sun on its journey.
A gentle breeze comes in from the water, stirring the steam rising from my cup, tickling my nose softly. Cocoa with cream, warm cold, golden blue.

All of this is Cacao de Amour - chocolate and rum are certainly present, but without the deep heaviness of a winter evening by the fireplace. Rather, the scent feels light, sugary, and playful, especially at the beginning - covered by a dollop of cream and yet leaving its traces at the bottom of the cup, never bitter but becoming slightly richer over time as one progresses.

It clings to the skin, highlighting its warmth and enveloping it with a soft focus of sweetness that is present but does not stand out harshly.

Russian Chocolate with Truffle Praline
Eau de Cacao at Christmas time makes bellies fat and hips wide. And it causes images in my head.

Scenario 1: I take a cup, add cocoa and sugar, pour it all with hot milk and stir well. A splash of rum must not be missing. To top it off, a dollop of whipped cream goes on top. This is also called Russian chocolate.

Scenario 2: Our village baker makes pralines himself during the Christmas season. Balls of white, milk, and dark chocolate. Filled with different types of truffles. From Pina Colada to cognac truffles, everything is included. The treats taste heavenly.

Eau de Cacao is for me like a mixture of the mentioned scenarios. The warm rum-cocoa rises to my nose, but I also smell chocolate. Very sugary chocolate. It’s as if I’m holding my nose in a bag of pralines. I especially perceive the white and milk chocolate pralines. Filled with vanilla truffle. And rum truffle. Delicious!

When I look at the fragrance pyramid, chocolate, praline, and vanilla set the tone. I smell rum right after spraying. The other ingredients are at best to be guessed; I can’t really smell them. An incredibly delicious scent! However, I have to be in the mood for it. I don’t want to smell like a box of pralines every day. But as Forrest Gump once said, life is a box of chocolates. In that sense, Eau de Cacao smells like life. One should enjoy that. And this is where the circle closes!

If all of this sounds a bit confusing, I must apologize, as I find myself in a kind of chocolate delirium. A cozy chocolate delirium. That is quite intense for me. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last overly long. After three to four hours, I feel the need to reapply. But one shouldn’t overdo it with chocolate. Therefore, the longevity is not to be rated negatively. Aside from that: this scent makes me crave sweets. Honestly! If I were to smell intensely of truffle pralines all day, the consequences would probably be alarming!

So, now I enjoy a little more Eau de Cacao and refrain from chocolate. At least I try to!

The name says it all: cocoa, as far as the nose can sniff, with a hint of powdered sugar - beautifully done! A winter charmer.

Smells like Lumumba, cocoa with rum. Not too sweet, chocolaty, harmonious. Well wearable with a medium sillage. Perfect for winter.
