The Golden Spice Broth
I'll keep it short: After all the enthusiastic comments from my "fragrance companions," I want to say: not unpleasant, certainly maritime, but not directly blowing me away. Because I am a bit desperate with this scent DNA, as I have encountered it in other Creeds as well. I would describe this (as has been mentioned elsewhere) as a salty cucumber, and with a wicked tongue, even call it "Maggi Melon." A very similar DNA is found in Silver Mountain Water, which is supposedly also a fragrance of the stars and celebrities.
Yes, you can wear it (you should be able to for the price), but both scents come across to me as if I were cooking a sauce from purely natural ingredients and then adding some instant broth at the end to make it spicy enough and appealing to as many palates as possible. If I had to give Millésime Impérial a color, it would be yellow-brown, so basically gold, which then fits the bottle after all! ;-)
Of course, this only reflects my own, subjective sense of smell. I am even starting to believe that the bergamot as a scent component is just as off-putting to me as a salty (!) maritime note. Only: If I could casually list 4-5 fresh citrus scents that I prefer and cost less than half, then Millésime Impérial simply makes no sense for me!

ADDENDUM! AromaTic has described this very well: Once you have the curry association, the sausage is eaten! ;-) Hats off to that! The same goes for toilet blocks and Christmas cookies (except for the sausage) ... Generally, my olfactory bulb seems to react more strongly to "salty" (even though I'm not a dog), which I also noticed at a fragrance seminar where my fellow participants didn't always smell the same things I did!
