I have to admit I was a little disappointed and happy after the first spraying. Happy that this sinfully expensive perfume is not soo great, happy that I can buy 1-2 other perfumes that are still on my list. First of all, Aventus smelled more like shower gel for me - and very intense. I had come home after a trip and had tested two other perfumes on my arm on the way home. I didn't smell anything from them through Aventus...
After some time it smelled more fruity and really good! I was like, "What the fuck do I have to keep this for?" Yesterday I "wore" it for the first time at a party. Now I have to say I'm really thrilled. On the one hand, there is always a difference for me - if I like to smell a scent on my wrist as well, it can still happen that I have the feeling that it just doesn't really suit me or the occasion. In addition, with a caliber like Aventus I would have to find out once again how different fragrances unfold when they are applied comparatively more extensively and are not sprayed extremely concentrated on the wrist.
Of course, it could be that I already knew the scent and its course, but the smoky fruity note was there much faster and the overall scent was much better dosed and not too overcharged, as at the beginning on the wrist.
With the performance and handling I find Aventus then even no longer sooo expensive.
To the smell itself I don't want to say so much anymore, only so much: For me he has something of a shower gel smell at the beginning without this being something bad but the smell alone would not be worth it to me. Later, more and more a fruity freshness comes through, which is however kept in check by smoky chords.
The fascinating thing for me is the phenomenon of how these two smells complement each other, which I cannot quite grasp.
I find scents also always have an unconscious social communication.
What I like about Aventus here is the fact that he radiates a kind of masculinity which I like very much and which also seems to suit me well. There are perfumes that want to be liked, ingratiated and pleasing (often perfumes that a certain Jeremy idolizes). There are others who want to be distinctive and masculine and exaggerate it a little too much.
That is exactly where my real appreciation for Aventus lies. It's the difference between a really self-confident man and those who just try to play. Aventus is a great fragrance, which I like (very much even) without it having to ingratiate itself too much, which is masculine without almost having to go into the exaggerated, caricature and hits people in the head when trying.
