Aventus Creed 2010

...is what we say in Bavaria when we give someone the Watschn, which is shaped by the spiritual Trinity (after Hannes Ringlstetter). In other words, a reddened child's cheek caused by a horizontal hand movement. At the same time a nice pun, to come back to the Aventus.
I like him, I don't like him... that's a good way to describe Aventus for me. Aventus was the first niche perfume I bought. At that time proudly unpacked like Oskar and sprayed on it. "Hmm, smells like gummi bears?" That's when I received the ominous batch 18K01, which actually smells like gummi bears. And from then on it started that I tried my way through different batches of the Aventus, meanwhile I have tried 2 bottles at home and a total of 10 different batches. First of all: I have never seen a perfume where the same product from different years smells so different. But really: Sometimes I smell a lot of pineapple, sometimes more vanilla, sometimes more apple, sometimes more smoke. But somehow they all have one thing in common: at the beginning I am almost overwhelmed by how beautiful it smells. But after 2 hours at the latest I don't notice anything anymore. Thank God this is not because of the poor durability of the perfume, but because of my scent blindness. Extremely pity.
The environment can perceive you very well and for a very long time. Depending on the age of the batch even too much in case of overdose.

At one of the bigger folk festivals in the area (or also known as "Kirwa", "Kirchweihfest" ,or for all those who came to the area: similar to the "Oktoberfest") I got a compliment from the good-looking lady across the street after 8 (!!) hours of smelling of beer, sweat and Bavarian mood. Madness, I thought to myself at that time.
One month later I was talking to a friend at a bigger party, whom I only see 1-2 times a year. So after 10 minutes he stated (5-6 hours after spraying, same batch as above): "Boa you smell good, dude!"

Bottom line: Cool stuff! Even though you can't smell it as strong or not at all, the Aventus holds like pitch and sulphur (at least my batches from 17' to 19'). Positive attention from female AND male side is very likely. If I could still perceive it myself in intensity, like in the beginning, I would give it a 10.5
