Sometimes I find it difficult to describe a fragrance accurately. Especially when I can't sniff out what is supposed to be contained according to the fragrance pyramid. I'm experiencing this with CUBA Prestige as well. Although I'm not even sure if I'm writing about the right fragrance here. I have "CUBA PRESTIGE CLASSIC" in front of me. So it could be that we're talking about two different fragrances.
So I'll keep it short: CUBA PRESTIGE CLASSIC smells very intensely sweet and spicy. And it spontaneously reminds me of long-gone times when, as a young adult, I tried just about every type of smokeable (I'm talking about legal tobacco products and not any "substances") and eventually got stuck on Al Capone Sweets. Those were (or are, I no longer smoke, so I don't know if they still exist) cigarillos dipped in cognac. When you put these cigarillos in your mouth, you immediately tasted a pretty strong sweetness that mixed with the gentle spiciness of the tobacco while smoking. Compared to ordinary cigarettes, it was quite a flavor experience. And this fragrance smells just like that to my nose. However, the scent comes across as quite heavy and enveloping. The sillage and projection are truly enormous. That's why I can imagine that the wearer of this fragrance, similar to the cigarillo smoker, might not be truly welcome in confined spaces. ;-) Although I wouldn't want to label the scent as a "stinker."
This fragrance will probably be a dupe of a well-known designer scent. However, since I'm unfamiliar with the potential original fragrance, I can't comment on that. For me, it is indeed a sweetly flavored tobacco that smells quite nice. But I suspect it could really annoy those around me. Not because it is bad - but simply because my counterpart is a "non-smoker" and can't relate to what I perceive as a pleasant scent. And please don't forget that there's still confusion on my part about whether "Cuba Prestige" is the same as "Cuba Prestige Classic." I'll upload a picture of my version, and you can weigh in on that.
I have the bottle in front of me that says "classic" on it. I couldn't find any other reference to it in the Parfumo register. I think your review fits perfectly.
