Alcoholic Fruity
DKNY Red Delicious Men has been in my collection for a while now. It is a flanker of Be Delicious. I stumbled upon this flanker through the original. I have had Be Delicious for what feels like an eternity. I really like the original, but this synthetic scent is more suited for the younger crowd. The Red flanker is also aimed at a younger audience, but in my opinion, it is a bit more mature.
Like many Red versions, it is a fruity fragrance. What is immediately noticeable upon spraying is an alcoholic note. It really doesn't smell cheap. Cognac and white rum. Even as it develops, an alcoholic dominance is perceptible. According to the fragrance pyramid, apple liqueur and vanilla vodka are added. Which alcoholic notes dominate here is hard to say, but it smells fruity alcoholic. Apple, bergamot, and mandarin create a great fruit-alcohol mix. Very delicious. Fruity and fresh is the entire composition. Later, a few bitter notes come into play. It could be coffee. The Be Delicious DNA is clearly present. Red, however, is fresher and lighter. A really solid year-round fragrance that is very wearable on both colder and warmer days.
Despite the alcohol, it is truly a versatile scent. In everyday life, but especially in the evening or for a club visit. More for the younger generation, but certainly still wearable around 30. The longevity is really very good. The sillage is rather weak. The scent stays rather discreetly in the background. A few more sprays wouldn’t hurt here.
Be Delicious is a great line. I also really like the women's fragrances from this line. The men's line of BD has been discontinued. Probably the sales numbers were too poor. It's a shame, as especially the Red is very good.

After that, it’s woody and coffee-like with remnants of alcohol. That's how I perceive it.
