Close Kin to Be Delicious

The apple simply has to chime in, even though mainly citrus fruits have been used here. But the resemblance cannot be denied with this little cake.

The beginning is almost sorbet-like, fresh, citrusy, rather tart despite the mandarin. The name is fitting, as the translation here is not cake, as one might assume.

After the first bite, which refreshes as expected, the memory of a freshly bitten green apple comes to mind, even though it shouldn't be present. No matter!

In between, I am also reminded of lemon rolls. This delicious pastry is not seen too often anymore, more of a relic from the 60s/70s. But my mom used to make it fresh for us on Sundays sometimes. Creamy, citrusy, gentle, and tasty.

Unfortunately, the deliciousness doesn't last until the end. It becomes very green and almost a little woody. One expects a fresh scent not to be quite so tempting to bite into.

Sweet Delicious Tart Key Lime is definitely the least candy-like fragrance from this special series. Not bad for those who want to smell a bit like a cake but not all the time. This little apple fits excellently into the currently very popular note of fresh-green-I-am-spring scents.

Okay, it smells like plastic when compared closely to the original scent :-s
Of course, if it smells like Tart Lime Key, it’s going to be sour and not a cake ;) It’s definitely an American thing, this lime tart :p But a lemon roll would be nice... :)

I only like to smell like pastries when I'm baking them... *g* And: I also know about lemon roll!
