Respect David Beckham 2017 Eau de Toilette

When David Beckham began his career at Manchester United, I was just one year old. While I was learning to walk and at some point even to play rudimentary football, Beckham was turning into a football icon. Long before I became a Perfumo, the former captain of the Three Lions launched his first fragrances. And in time I had them all in my sports bag. After training, two spritzes on the neck, basst scho!
Time times to take a closer look at the fragrances, which for years their existence between shin guards and Finalgon fristeten.
Respect opens fresh, sweet and inevitably reminiscent of Axe Alaska. Individual scents are impossible to smell out, or is my nose not trained enough? Then again, what does watermelon smell like? So overall, it makes for a pretty synthetic mush of a top note. I would love to write something about the heart and base, unfortunately Respect fades faster than David Beckham once sprinted up and down the outdoor track. There is simply no scent development. Vetiver? Missing. Patchouli, moss, basil - what could have been an interesting composition is unfortunately not present at all. Even as I write these lines is at best still a fresh breath on the skin perceptible.
Conclusion World-class player Beckham marketed fragrance at district league level - one could cynically note. Objectively, one must probably simply acknowledge that Respect was designed as a drugstore fragrance and not to compete with established fragrances. For little money, you get a fragrance that forms an entertaining and harmonious relationship with any "3 in 1 shower gel" after showering. In short: a fragrance that won't be a shame to keep in your gym bag under sweaty socks
