Blue Freshness
I purchased Denim Black for this year's vacation based on the previous comment.

DB is a real freshness kick upon spraying, but I don't detect any citrus notes.
After a short time, spicy notes become noticeable, which later transition into woody ones. These two fragrance notes alternate over a longer period, before something resinous, like crushed pine needles, tickles my nose just before the end of the scent's progression.

The longevity for me is about three hours, and the sillage is very low.

The bottle is somewhat sensitive to scratches due to its roughness.

With its spicy, woody freshness, this scent is best worn in warm spring temperatures for me.

Black soap
After breaking a resolution once, discipline is usually gone for good. That’s what happened to me after I broke my plan of not making blind buys with “Musk” from Denim. The second one - also from Denim - was “Black.” After a brief study of the fragrance pyramid, I was looking forward to a summery fresh scent for a small budget. 100ml for just €6.50 - what could go wrong?

The opening comes quite close to the expectation of a summer fragrance. After a brief moment of sharp alcohol, I do indeed smell citrus-fresh notes. A little synthetic perhaps, but not unpleasant. Shortly after, a soapy tone sets in for me. This soapy impression intensifies over time and is expanded by slightly sour notes.

However, the citrus notes and the sourness soon recede more and more, and the fragrance takes on a slight sweet touch. This remains very subtle throughout the entire duration and doesn’t push itself further into the foreground. I can at best sense something of “noble woods,” perhaps a slightly warmer note. However, I cannot detect anything floral, no matter how hard I try.

Towards the end of the development, I can really only smell the soap. It smells slightly sweet and - as a proper soap should - clean. This impression stays with me until the end. Why Denim calls this scent “Black,” I cannot say.
Dark, this Eau de Toilette is certainly not at any point, in my opinion.
I would rather call it “Clean.”

The usability, of course, does not suffer from this clean impression at all. Presumably, with “Black,” you smell freshly washed all the time. That shouldn’t be bothersome - neither at work nor in your free time. For summer, I find the scent most suitable. Even on a warm spring day, the wearer should be well advised with it. For autumn and winter, it offers - in my opinion - too little warmth.

The longevity exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t have expected it to last a good seven hours. It doesn’t last a complete workday for me, but you can always reapply, just like with work performance.

The sillage remains of limited strength and doesn’t go much beyond a soapy length. But that fits this clean scent. However, it probably wouldn’t stand out even with a stronger sillage. It shouldn’t be really bothersome at all.

The bottle looks as one would expect from the price of “Black.” Milk glass with a cheap, well-fitting plastic cap and a well-spraying, but rather shabby-looking spray head - simply put: functional. The function is certainly flawless and gives no reason for complaint. For decoration, the bottle goes into a dark and cool cabinet. That’s where you should preferably store perfume anyway.

“Black” doesn’t really excite me, but on a hot summer day, it could definitely be refreshing. For lovers of clean scents, it could definitely be worth a try. You certainly won’t regret it at this price-performance ratio.

Everything that I like about Denim Original and Drakkar Noir, removed. The remainder, blended to make Denim Black.

A classic sensual fresh and sweet scent. The sweet tone comes from the jasmine. Great in aftershave form. A must have. Great value for money
