One of the most exquisite citrus fragrances

It's a bit confusing to find the right scent here. Three are listed: 2008, 2012, and 2017. I've owned this one for several years. I bought it based on a recommendation. It was rightly suggested to me. In the past, with little knowledge of perfume, I bought this unsniffed. This was also my first Dior besides Fahrenheit Absolute. I only got to know the original Dior Homme much later.

As I am a fan of citrus-fresh fragrances, I chose this one. I also have no issues with the word Sport, although the name Sport is really not fitting in my opinion.
I know many citrus fragrances. I really like citrus notes in perfumes as they provide a wonderful freshness. I have several in my collection. However, I must say that citrus fragrances are often very boring. Many are well executed, but some remind me only of slightly more upscale toilet fresheners. This one does not. On the contrary:
It starts off very citrusy with the notes. Lemon, bergamot, and grapefruit provide a powerful burst of citrus notes. Not cheap freshness, but the most exquisite notes. The sillage is also quite remarkable. Rosemary, ginger, elemi resin, and light woody notes make these citrus notes truly very elegant. Lemon is in the absolute foreground throughout the entire duration. However, the other notes turn this lemon into a noble lemon. The composition is very modern and timeless, which stands out significantly from the other outdated citrus compositions. Many citrus fragrances are really very old-fashioned and more suited for older gentlemen. This one is not. This composition is absolutely for everyone. From young to old.
For a citrus fragrance, it is also versatile. Especially in everyday life on warmer days, it works particularly well. It also performs very well at more upscale occasions, as it truly has style and does not come off as cheap. For a fragrance of this type, it is also very wearable in the colder season. It is light, but not too much. This could be due to the ginger.
However, the name Sport is somewhat inappropriate in my opinion. While it is also wearable as a sports fragrance, it feels a bit too heavy for that. There are lighter and fresher scents that convince me more. However, this is not a point of criticism, as it is versatile.
Qualitatively, it is truly more than convincing. Sillage and longevity are absolutely world-class. This fragrance truly deserves the name Dior.
