Lasting sports fragrance
I really love that Dior Homme Sport is a really natural interpretation of citrus. There's nothing synthetic or harsh about it whatsoever. It's absolutely perfect for Spring and Summer, and definitely serves its purpose as a sports cologne.

Dior Homme Sport opens with zesty and fresh lemon peel and grapefruit. It fizzes up your nose at first, but when it settles it's quite enticing and clean. It reminds me of Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue for women, however it's less cedary and less bold.

The vetiver and lavender notes make this fragrance rather masculine and aromatic. It's really surprising that this fragrance is a flanker of Dior Homme, which was quite sweet and dark.

Dior Homme Sport isn't the most original composition you're going to stumble upon, however despite its simplicity, I really like this perfume, especially on men. I usually hate citrus based scents, so for me to enjoy smelling this means something.

The sillage is really good, definitely not overpowering or too soft. It's the kind of fragrance that will last on the skin too, especially during and after strenuous exercising. I highly recommend.

One of the best!
A true winner.

Dior Homme Sport is one of the best citric scent that i've ever smelt.

Smells elegant and comforting with lots of ginger and citric notes that are close to natural.

Sillage, projection and lasting power are good for a fresh scent.

This version (original) is much better than the new version.

It shows it's splendour in hot/humid climates.

Big thumbs up!

My Silver Medalist
When it comes to Dior Homme and the flankers, this is my runner up to "Dior Homme Parfum | Dior". Sometimes it is nice to take a break from iris and this allows me to do so. I enjoy the combination of ginger, lavender, citruses and cedar. Even though the fragrance is linear, Dior Homme Sport (2008) Eau de Toilette has excellent performance - especially when comparing to the latest iterations.

The fragrance starts off a tad rough but after a minute or so, it will calm down and you will be able to pickup all the notes at once. As you approach the drydown, you are left with a creamy citrus base that will stay on skin for hours.

I would recommend trying a sample since we have warmer weather approaching.

The Beginning
It is him. Oh, what have you done. So inconspicuous in your little bottle, you have created a small world for me. Clearly my favorite of the three Dior Homme Sport versions (2008, 2012, 2017)
To get straight to the point, what follows is something very personal and formative for me.
I remember that day as if it just happened last weekend. It was the year 2008 and I was 11 years old. As usual, I accompanied my parents on a shopping trip, and once a year there was also the obligatory visit to a perfume shop. During the payment process, my parents were of course given samples, and suddenly the saleswoman leaned down to me and pressed a small box into my hand. I was incredibly excited and thanked her. It was a shower gel sample of the then Dior Homme Sport. I believe it was 30ml. Quite unusual, since I only knew the small perfume samples in spray bottles at that time. Almost 2 weeks later, I was invited to a classmate's birthday party and went into the shower shortly before leaving, where this little box greeted me. For this special occasion, I wanted to test how it was. I didn't have high expectations anyway; at 11 years old, shower gel was just, well, just shower gel and always smelled pretty much the same. While showering, I was completely blown away! What was that smell? What kind of shower gel is this? I had never encountered something so beautiful and high-quality smelling. That was it, I was hooked. Proudly, I stepped out of the shower and was simply happy for the first time about something as trivial as a scent. My mother even mentioned what I had done to smell so good. I reminded her of the sample. The birthday party was great, and it even got better throughout the evening as at least half of the girls present complimented me on my scent. Receiving compliments on my body odor was something unfamiliar to me at that time, something I had not experienced before. But it confirmed my assumption that this woody citrus scent was something very special. Since that experience, I became very sensitive to scents. I paid attention to everything that had a smell and was on the lookout for more fragrances. But none could match the light citrus ginger freshness of the Dior Homme Sport shower gel, except for my shower. I was in love. Often, I would simply open the flip cap of the shower gel just to take a quick sniff again. I never received pocket money, so I saved every possible penny for almost a year to buy a small 50ml of the 2008 version Dior Homme Sport Eau de Toilette just before my 12th birthday. I was proud and incredibly happy about my then second-largest investment (the go-kart was more expensive). The scent was identical to the shower gel and blew me away every time. Back then, I had no idea about individual fragrance notes; I couldn't even describe what captivated me so much about this fragrance, but it was so beautiful. Since then, I wished for only one thing for every birthday and every Christmas: the 150ml shower gel of the scent, which cost a proud 35.-€. It lasted me about six months, as I only wore it for the most special occasions combined with the perfume. I bought the perfume annually with my own money. This scent simply never let me go; I spent my childhood and entire youth with it. When the 2012 version was released, I followed along and remained loyal to my Dior Homme Sport. I liked the subsequent version, even though I preferred the original.
I still have about 60ml of the 2012 version and an empty shower gel bottle of a 2008 version. Every time I open that cap again and smell it, I take a journey. A journey back to beautiful moments, to bad moments. Memories of family members who were still alive back then. To bright and dark days of my school years, my first girlfriend, to many places and situations.
I am not even able to evaluate this scent purely objectively.
Even the 2012 version reminds me very, very strongly of that time compared to the current 2017 version. It is one of the few scents that I cannot just wear casually like one does with fragrances. It is a scent where I know exactly what happens every time I spray it. A time travel, every single time. And so the last 60ml fade away like the last days of my childhood. I appreciate both, but I also have to leave both behind at some point. What will remain is the memory.
Thank you. :-)

One of the most exquisite citrus fragrances
It's a bit confusing to find the right scent here. Three are listed: 2008, 2012, and 2017. I've owned this one for several years. I bought it based on a recommendation. It was rightly suggested to me. In the past, with little knowledge of perfume, I bought this unsniffed. This was also my first Dior besides Fahrenheit Absolute. I only got to know the original Dior Homme much later.

As I am a fan of citrus-fresh fragrances, I chose this one. I also have no issues with the word Sport, although the name Sport is really not fitting in my opinion.
I know many citrus fragrances. I really like citrus notes in perfumes as they provide a wonderful freshness. I have several in my collection. However, I must say that citrus fragrances are often very boring. Many are well executed, but some remind me only of slightly more upscale toilet fresheners. This one does not. On the contrary:
It starts off very citrusy with the notes. Lemon, bergamot, and grapefruit provide a powerful burst of citrus notes. Not cheap freshness, but the most exquisite notes. The sillage is also quite remarkable. Rosemary, ginger, elemi resin, and light woody notes make these citrus notes truly very elegant. Lemon is in the absolute foreground throughout the entire duration. However, the other notes turn this lemon into a noble lemon. The composition is very modern and timeless, which stands out significantly from the other outdated citrus compositions. Many citrus fragrances are really very old-fashioned and more suited for older gentlemen. This one is not. This composition is absolutely for everyone. From young to old.
For a citrus fragrance, it is also versatile. Especially in everyday life on warmer days, it works particularly well. It also performs very well at more upscale occasions, as it truly has style and does not come off as cheap. For a fragrance of this type, it is also very wearable in the colder season. It is light, but not too much. This could be due to the ginger.
However, the name Sport is somewhat inappropriate in my opinion. While it is also wearable as a sports fragrance, it feels a bit too heavy for that. There are lighter and fresher scents that convince me more. However, this is not a point of criticism, as it is versatile.
Qualitatively, it is truly more than convincing. Sillage and longevity are absolutely world-class. This fragrance truly deserves the name Dior.

If I had to choose just one fragrance I think this would be it. Much of that may be due to nostalgia & lost love but it's a stunning scent..

A sexy woody scent with juicy citrus, spicy, and earthy freshness. Miles away from Dior Homme, this is like a t-shirt over perfect jeans.

Relatively well-crafted scent from the Dior Homme line: less powdery-sweet due to candied lemon, and herbal from ginger and lavender.

Wow. The longevity and sillage are stunning-in a good way. Whether it's for sports or not, that's up to the viewer. Fresh and pleasant.

One of the few men's fragrances that I can tolerate well over time as a man. It's rarely noticed on other guys in their mid-20s. Citrusy & classy.

Pure, clean, fresh, gentle lemon. A grand opening.
Ginger joins in with a sparkling, zesty, tangy note.
