Leather Oud Dior 2010

I waited a long time for this fragrance, which is no longer so easily available. I actively searched for it because nothing in life comes to you without effort.
The hope was always there. I tried to satisfy my interest in Leather Oud with other fragrances, but the desire was too strong.

Now, thanks to Parfumo - and how grateful I am again and again that this platform exists - I found it.

My first purchase without knowing what to expect. A blind buy for a hefty price. I felt a bit strange, a queasy feeling. However, there should be some relief on this journey.
It began with opening the cap and the first spray - the hope that I would indeed like it. The fear that I wouldn't like it was very great. Because I hate it so much when things have to be given away again; letting go must still be learned, otherwise everything eventually becomes a burden.

The scent starts its journey with intense animalism. Civet, leather, and the sweetness of beeswax are very clearly discernible. It stays like this for half an hour. Then Oud comes into play; it becomes exciting, loud, and there is a back and forth. The wearer is required to have a lot - self-confidence, courage, determination, endurance. Those who like to make a statement will stick with it. Those who don't give up immediately will reach their goal; that is the style that is demanded here.
The animalistic component is present from beginning to end, but it is wearable, beautiful, dark, sexy, with a lot of power. It smells erotic and wild.

The journey to this point - to the conclusion that it can stay, that the fear of having to let go is unfounded, the hope that this is a scent I want to keep - was not an easy one, but a beautiful, wild ride. It is worth trying things that others advise against.
