Ambre Nuit is not a scent that lies quietly on the skin, enveloping and calming.
On the contrary, it has a distinctly fiery temperament and sends delightful shivers from my scalp to my soles!
Sensuality draws its tension from intense perception, which is first slowly acknowledged through eyes, fingers, skin, tongue, ears, and - of course! - the nose, without any judgment. Retaining the impression, moving back and forth, lingering... only then follows the categorization, the deciphering into terms like sweet, bitter, fresh, peppery, and subsequently into like or dislike. All of this is so intense, so unique and genuine, so alive and overwhelming, that followed by conscious perception, a desire arises.
Desire carries the burning wish for fulfillment, which intensifies and intensifies; transported by temperament, until the longing for... is satisfied.
Ambre Nuit is strong, very strong, in motion. Not in its development or sillage, as it remains very linear in my perception (barely any scent progression) and close to the body. Rather, this "being in motion" seems to me like the wild chaos, the turmoil of atoms, in boiling hot water.
It shows itself distinctly ambered, yet not amber-dominant. The name fits for me, also because of its deep, touching eroticism. Surprisingly, it feels very oud-heavy to me. But oud in a beautiful way, softened, Europeanized. Everything else, pepper, grapefruit, patchouli, a bit of cedar and guaiac - Yes! The wistful transparency of a beautiful rose. Everything is there, yet homogeneously connected, only amber and "my" oud stand out. Fresh, explosive, vibrating, and yet simultaneously promisingly dark. Projection and longevity are medium on me, but on fabric, it is vehement and undoubtedly unisex.
And I am soooooo infatuated with it.
For me, sensuality is always associated with a lively temperament, as perception always touches me deeply and an enticing contrast arises between the slow realization and the burning, highly impatient desire for fulfillment.
Complementing each other, conditioning each other. No yin without yang, no right without wrong, no suffering without happiness, no tension without relaxation.
That is Ambre Nuit for me: the temperament of sensuality.
For me, Ambre Nuit is also a sensual and temperamental scent. Very strong and full of emotions - it reminds me of the feelings of Christmas - no stress, just a time of love.
It took me a while to pick up the most beautiful Oud note, but I’ve got it now :-) Still the most beautiful comment, the best description, and your sensuality in words... my Ti is simply excellent and wonderful!!!
45! Yes! For me, it starts off very bright for an amber, but that brightness gradually explodes (a distinctly fiery temperament - you're so right) and it becomes wonderful!!! And sensually lovely, yes.
I recently received a 20ml sample of this beautiful fragrance and I can only agree with your comment. I love it just as much, and I might end up buying it.
But first: a trophy for you! :)
An eloquent, personal comment on what seems to be an interesting fragrance. Sigh, another one for the wishlist. Well, at that price, it should definitely make my wallet do a lively flag-waving... ;-)
I'm currently exploring the world of amber scents. However, Ambre Nuit was a bit disappointing for me. But I guess I should give it another try :) nice comment.
No, Ti, that's not too much... the scent might just be right :-) Trophy! Super passionate comment, I love that; it says more than head-driven analyses!
Great comment on a dream fragrance... I got delightful goosebumps while reading it, thanks Ti. I'm going to grab a few drops from my decant now and indulge in the enjoyment :-)
