Well.. you know it.
With many fragrances, you often find yourself thinking "Wow, what is that?", maybe "I've never smelled that before", and exactly that is not the case here.
Homme EDT is your loyal companion when you plan to let someone with concrete feet sink in the Rhine. Homme EDT accompanies you in shisha bars, clubs, gaming halls, it's simply always there. Maybe not on you, but at least someone is spreading this scent that is by no means bad or intrusive.
You sit there, with a Cuban cigar, black suit, mid-50s. Your beer belly tells stories it has witnessed over decades, it's not fat, it's experience. Blood money, betrayal, contracts, the sentences are long, the evening short, because the expensive white snow makes time tick faster. You smell dark, smoke, wood, a top note that is slightly fresh, citrus-like, Don Patchouli is present, watching you behind the boss, every movement could be a danger. He snorts a bit, makes eye contact with the boss, something might be off.
Then the dry-down - bitter, more spice, the pepper comes through, musk, it becomes deeper, but never aggressive. You are embraced, but not by a piano string, rather by a scent that lets you confidently start your day (or rather the night). But it doesn't embrace others, they only see the embrace and think "Oh sweet, he was embraced." Compliments? There will hardly be any, simply because people know it. This scent is so deeply ingrained that you almost don't notice it anymore, but it's there, and it's watching you. It's a newer fragrance, but in character, it's been known for over 20 years.
Compliment scale: 4 out of 10. Not because the scent is bad, quite the opposite, it’s a safe scent that makes you smell good. But it has simply become so basic that it belongs to everyday life.
