From Spring to Summer
In love and purchased one evening about 2 years ago on a beach vacation. So excited that I immediately bought a large bottle.
Warmed by the sun, I tested Miss Dior in a typical perfumery of the Spanish islands. The scent blew me away. It matched my mood so well, highlighting the warmth and lightness I had absorbed during the previous beach day, and its heaviness was simply beautiful and elegant for the upcoming cooler evening. Yes, I absolutely had to have it!
All the more surprising that at home, in a consistently cooler environment, I no longer liked it at all. Too squeaky, too sweet, too dusty/scratchy, too loud in my vicinity. Somehow "teenage," which isn't bad in itself. Unfortunately, just unsuitable for me.
Now this nearly full bottle stood in my collection; for months. I kept trying it again and again, but it just didn't want to work out with us anymore.
When the days finally became much warmer in Germany, I tried going through my collection again and thought, "Oh, well... could give it another try." And, what can I say: THERE IT WAS AGAIN! This beloved, noble, warm, woody, feminine yet youthful scent.
Perhaps I simply associate it with vacation evenings, which leads me to claim that it suits me best on very warm spring days/summer evenings. Yet, that is what the scent is for me; even though I am surprised by the feeling despite its heaviness.
I don't want to miss it anymore and it remains a loyal companion.

Unfortunately, I feel the same way about the scent as described in the second paragraph... Maybe I should try it in warmer weather too.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, maybe give it a try. I'm curious. I really like it on warm skin, especially in the evening.
