Sauvage Eau Forte Dior 2024

This is actually my first review, but not because I like the fragrance so much, but because I'm working my way through it.

First of all, I would like to say that I really liked Sauvage OG when it first came out, I actually loved it.
But at some point - I live in Paris - I got really tired of listening to it (sales clerk, dental assistant etc etc): Oh you're wearing Sauvage, I love it, my husband wears it too or Oh you're wearing Sauvage, I don't like it at all, my ex always wore it and now the scent totally triggers me...

At some point it became too shrill for me and I got fed up with it.

So I was curious about the Eau Forte (Elixir was just too much for me) - I bought it immediately without testing it for long and had my difficulties with it from the beginning, but I really wanted to like it because it cost me 120 euros and is from FK, which brings us to the title of my review - cognitive dissonance, of which there are many forms... for me, Sauvage Eau Forte is like the fox and the grapes, but in reverse...

But now to the fragrance - at the beginning it starts green and spicy, a little like the Elixir, but a little weaker and also fresher, it quickly becomes very musky, but really milky creamy musk, it smells almost 1:1 like bleu noir edp by NR - and there lies my problem - I actually like musky scents, but not this creamy, milky musk that smells a bit like Penaten baby cream, while the spices, which smell a bit like Indian spices to me, remain subliminal - it may be the anise or cardamom - qui sait...
All of this would still be tolerable for me, but I'm currently on vacation in the south of France and it's still quite warm and well, it might be because of my skin - my father comes from southern Europe and I inherited oily and rather dark skin from him and maybe it just doesn't get along with Eau forte, as soon as I start to sweat - no worries, I shower twice a day in summer - Sauvage eau forte smells like sour buttermilk on my arm, to put it politely, but it actually smells like babies burping after eating.

I still give the fragrance 5 points because it's certainly well-crafted,- and I don't know if it's just my skin that doesn't match Sauvage eau forte...

Such a shame, I really wanted to like it, now I have to work on it to resolve the cognitive dissonance and then just accept: it's not for me and 120 euros was a relatively expensive psychological self-experience...
