Comparison of all four Sauvages

After I recently tested the Dior Sauvage EDT again and suddenly became enthusiastic about it, I had to try this fragrance as well. The Elixir is supposed to be significantly better, which I cannot confirm.

Of course, everyone has a different sense of smell and different preferences, but I would only attribute a distant similarity to the "original" for the Elixir. The opening is much more lavender-heavy and sweeter, but the DNA of the EDT is clearly noticeable.
The Elixir comes across as fruitier and much stronger, more perfume-like, but later becomes tamer. The drydown smells completely different to me - like speculoos.

For comparison, here is my fragrance description for the EDT and EDP:

The opening is sweet-fresh and somewhat reminiscent of anise or licorice, with light pineapple and synthetic aquatic notes floating in the background. Everything feels finely tuned and well woven together, a certain creaminess further emphasizes the scent profile.
The drydown is very pleasant and somewhat greenish. I couldn't smell any insect repellent or anything chemical this time.
Either the formulation has changed, or my nose has become somewhat dulled, which could presumably be due to my first COVID-19 illness in March 2023.

I prefer the EDT significantly over the EDP as it is softer and finer. The EDP is not only stronger overall (more spice, synthetic), but unfortunately, it also briefly reminded me of toilet spray. The drydown here smells rather peppery and spicy, and the longevity and sillage are about the same for both.

The Sauvage perfume stands out completely for me:
Stronger, fruitier, more perfume-like, and mushier than the Sauvage EDT, the DNA is recognizable but more mainstream and nothing special.

I will change my rating for the EDT from 5.5 to 8.5. I would rate the EDP at 7.5 due to its too intense opening for me. I rate the perfume at 7 in comparison, and the Elixir at 7.5.

Of all four fragrances in the Sauvage line, I would thus describe the EDT as the most pleasant for me, and I will surely buy it in the coming months; my collection will then be complemented by a fresh all-weather fragrance.
