When I first smelled L'eau Papier, it brought me back to a strange time in my childhood that perhaps lies between a memory and fantasy. I immediately picked up on the rice note, more so the steam that comes from it cooking. However, the real star here, imo, is the yellow floral. The mimosa is delicate and powdery, which is carried through each spritz by the steam. I imagine a childhood in which I sneakily pop open the lid to my mother's rice cooker, expecting a cloud of steam to rise up, only to be met by a field of yellow mimosas that gently settle into my skin. There's nothing quite like L'eau Papier in my collection, which easily makes her one of my favourites.
