I first got to know this fragrance about 3 years ago through my job at the nursing home. One morning, I cared for a lady who was pretty much the only one in the entire living area who even owned perfume. She was a very classic, elegant, and above all, extremely polite woman. On her bedside table were Elizabeth Arden white tea and D&G light blue intense. Presumably, her daughter had brought her the fragrances, as the lady was severely demented and could no longer even comprehend what perfume was. After her body care and getting dressed, I decided to spray her with 2 spritzes of light blue intense, which she found very pleasant. I then took her to the dining room for breakfast and picked her up about 1-2 hours later. During that time, I noticed what a strong sillage this fragrance seems to have, at least for her. She sat at her table the whole time, and you could smell the fragrance from 2 meters away. A super beautiful fresh scent that, in my opinion, suits every age group and will probably remind me of the lady from the nursing home for the rest of my life.
Touching! I think everyone has their own story connected to a specific scent in one way or another. For me, Light Blue brings back vivid memories of the scorching Pompeii from summer '22... that heat, the dry, rocky air, and Light Blue gently wafting through the warm summer breeze.
Beautiful story. I'm also a caregiver and can tell the story just like that. I also had a resident with Light Blue. But mostly it's 4711 ::)))) you probably know it.
I lived next to a nursing home for years. Sometimes I would 'arm' myself with a chessboard and chat with the older gentlemen in front of the home. By the way: I believe chess supports 'the flexibility of the brain's folds', just like gymnastics does for the body. It never took long before we had a crowd around us... I always noticed a few women. Especially this aristocratic type, slender, tall, with sharp facial features. Her face said: I've lived!, and her hair: unchanged! Elaborate updos from the 50s and 60s! So much care, magnificent! ~ I find the scent very positive. Summery! However, it's also a bit overdone, unfortunately. *thanks, enjoyed reading!*
I've seen the 4711 with residents too 馃槃
