What a pity

What a pity that this fragrance, as I wore it today and yesterday and which Helena1411 kindly let me have in a swap, is no longer available. At least not in the way I have come to know it now.

Briefly, the orange blossom greets me, only to immediately make way for the sea. Refreshing and pleasant, it fit perfectly into the slightly sultry warm weather of yesterday. After half a minute, these maritime notes threaten to drift towards brackish water. But Seathalasso regains its footing, leading me a little away from the coast to a nearby garden that houses the most beautiful blooms, whose scent the wind gently wafts around my nose, without me losing the sea air from my perception. The fragrance notes are gentle, slightly warming, and calm, yet still lightly refreshing due to the sea air. I do not perceive cedarwood and musk separately. After a few hours, I mainly have a softly wafted orange blossom from the maritime notes in my nose. It wafts towards me from my T-shirt, while on my skin a slightly spicy note remains.

The longevity on the skin is fine for me at 5 - 6 hours. The sillage is moderate, staying within the immediate personal space. The T-shirt will surely continue to smell until it lands in the washing machine.

On the Douglas website, there are many disappointed comments from customers who repurchased Seathalasso and no longer found the scent as they knew it.

Addendum: This evening, after many many hours, I can also perceive wood + heliotrope.

Why do they keep doing this? It’s always like that.

In the comments about the green Caudalie, someone mentioned that it smells like this. I can't remember more... But well written! Trophy for you!

Once again, a shocking example of a covert de-formulation. Terrible. Basically, it's a fraud against the buyer. I don't know the scent, but the name is odd since "Sea" means sea in English and "Thalassa" in Greek. So, sea-sea. Sea-strange. Nice comment, trophy for that.

Seriously?? What a shame, it used to be so great! Thanks for the heads-up.

Somehow, this scent is really something special. Yet, I can't quite figure out what to do with it. So, I don't really need it. But you need a trophy! **+**

The new bottle isn't as nice as the previous one with the shells on the cap.

It's true, the new version is terribly artificial and has nothing to do with the original scent. What a shame, because I think the original version is a really successful aquatic!

I found it unbelievably and unbearably artificially unpleasant, and I was really surprised that it received such good reviews here. But maybe I tested the newer version.

I never really paid attention to this scent, even though I've seen it around. It's frustrating when they keep tinkering with well-functioning formulas. It seems to be happening everywhere these days. Based on your description, I probably would have liked the scent despite the aquatic notes.

Sounds a bit like Walk the Sea by Kerosene. Maybe that would be a worthy substitute?
