Rose and Suede
Today I randomly picked Man Rose from the sample pack. I sprayed it directly on my skin without reading the label beforehand. Immediately, I get a fresh rose and a hint of ethereal citrus that makes the rose feel even fuller. There’s nothing heavy or overwhelming here, but rather almost monolithic. Classic. Natural. Beautiful.
As if the scent were made solely to pay homage to the queen of flowers.
Briefly, a hint of oud flares up upon spraying and quickly hides behind the floral protagonist. It will resonate as a woody-smoky nuance, creating a counterpoint to the rose without ever becoming dominant.
The same goes for a bright leather accord and woody notes, which together bring a slight roughness and warm chords. Here too, everything sounds harmonious and never breaks out.
What I love about this fragrance is that everything is immediately present. It surrounds me with an aura that appears both strong and yet fragile. The soft rose accords play fresh while wood, resin, and oud, with their edges, create a warm profile.
