So here it is. A sample of Fleur de Lalita and my first review.
Let’s spray it. Uff - the top note comes off green, bitter, overwhelming, almost piercing. Red roses. Ripe. Not really my thing. Fortunately, this first impression fades quickly. Now more and more white flowers are pushing aside that initial impression. Finally!
The scent becomes chic. Noble. Powdery, almost creamy. I see myself on a warm summer evening on a boat. Dressed in white with a summer hat and a white or yellow flower in my hair. Lily. Cheerful and embracing. How lovely.
Shortly after, the picture changes again. A certain warmth comes in. Sandalwood! Now I’m taking a warm bath, surrounded by white flowers in candlelight. The scent becomes a clean scent for me. It gives me fresh-out-of-the-shower and especially moisturized vibes. It smells a bit like my body lotion. Unfortunately, I don’t perceive any of the remaining base notes. And so the scent becomes lighter on the skin. Very close to the body, gentle and quiet. What remains are a few white flowers and almost a certain soapiness. I think of soap bubbles. Hm. Quite nice, but unfortunately, it doesn’t blow me away for the price. An exciting journey at first, but in the end, it leaves me wanting more. That goes to my mom..
