The Russian Angel - in light
In a fragrance mail, there was also a small sample of this Dzintars. Until now, I had not had the opportunity to test a scent from this brand. Curiously, I opened the small vial and put a drop on my wrist.
Hm, I know you *thoughtfully looking* But I can't place it. I sniffed again, concentrated and with closed eyes. Now I got it - Angel!!! However, it’s softer, more delicate, not as opulent - and above all, less sweet. But you can still recognize the family resemblance to Angel. So rather a Russian cousin... I find the scent much more pleasant.
After a while, my associations with Angel mostly fade away. The scent becomes fresher, greener. I clearly recognize a juicy lily. Now and then, that Angel note peeks through. I had never encountered a fragrance that starts gourmand and becomes greener and juicier over time. It sounds confusing, but it’s not that bad. Unusual, but successful.
I had stopped at the juicy, green lily - with a gourmand touch - a fresh gourmand, so to speak. Like fresh fruits with mousse au chocolat. Or a mint leaf, something fresh indeed. In any case, this combo is pleasant for my nose.
By now, I am quite sure that this spicy sweetness comes from the amber. I can only perceive the jasmine very faintly, the vanilla is unsweetened and delicately dosed. Primarily, amber and lily dominate. Later on, the sweetness and softness of the amber fade away, and the scent becomes distinctly animalic. Longevity? About 4-5 hours. Sillage? It's there, but not overwhelming.
This amber-lily combination is really beautiful. Have I mentioned that before? :-)))
