the disappointed rose princess
This rose fragrance is buoyant and light, blushing young and slumbering under a light layer of powder until it is allowed to unfold on the skin and dance through the expected short time of its fleeting life.
Memories of my childhood were suddenly awakened:
How much the little blonde girl wanted to be a rose princess at the last carnival in kindergarten: The little pink lace dress bedded on tulle (it was the late fifties and petit coats were worn), already hanging - for good! - in the wardrobe), a wide, darker satin ribbon was tied around the waist to form a bow at the back; all that was missing was the rosary in her hair or a little crown.
