"Imperium" is an absolutely masculine, self-assured fragrance.
A wildly intense bergamot, surrounded by a herbal spiciness, creates a distinctly smoky character (supported by guaiac wood & patchouli) that dominates the first hour. Additionally, I sense a cool freshness.
Once the top notes settle, I smell white flowers, spicy masculine notes, and still that certain dry, mentholated smokiness.
Gradually, the vanilla emerges, albeit very subtly (unlike what some other reviews might suggest), and forms the base with the oudy, spicy wood and the somewhat stronger musk. However, this remains in the background for the first 3 hours, as the smoky freshness is what first registers in the brain. After that, it becomes noticeably creamier and the vanilla comes forward.
As already mentioned, this fragrance radiates masculinity and self-confidence, in a casual way. I imagine wearing it with jeans and a leather jacket or a denim jacket.
The fragrance DNA can be worn year-round, and the performance is also top-notch.
The beginning is a bit too smoky for my taste, but after about an hour, the vanilla balances the fragrance out, resulting in a unique combination.
8.5/10 points.
