Brewing Tea with Rose Water!

Hello everyone! I'm back and today I'm going to tell you about another fragrance. Today it's about one of the new flankers of Elizabeth Arden's White Tea scent, which I was very excited about back then because,… well, hello? Tea scent? Of course, I was thrilled by the fragrance :D
Of course, I did complain back then about the absolutely miserable sillage, because I'm always somehow complaining (There's coriander in it! It's too hot! I don't have a girlfriend! Stupid people drink tea WITH milk in it! No one lets me bite them! It's too hot! I already mentioned the last one, but the extremely hot summer is really annoying me, whine whine whine, and tomorrow will be particularly brutal!!!), but aside from that, White Tea was an excellent and highly recommendable white tea scent for tea fragrance lovers :)

So, I never thought that White Tea would become a new fragrance line, as this year two flankers were released! Namely Wild Rose and Vanilla Orchid! And it was so clear that I had to test these fragrances. And I finally did. While I was in the fragrance store (actually more like a drugstore), I saw all the fragrances lined up next to each other, so it was a great opportunity to compare all three scents. So I grabbed the bottles, waited until the last woman was about 1 km away (since these are women's fragrances and, as we all know, NO ONE is allowed to see me spray a women's fragrance!! :D) and then sprayed myself all over!

And it was a lot of fun to test these tea fragrances, even if this scent, Wild Rose, is olfactorily the weakest fragrance in this line, at least in my opinion. So here are my thoughts on it:

**The Scent:**
The scent starts off for a moment like the regular White Tea (but without the mandarin aroma), where you can perceive a very weak white tea, but soon you smell a slightly sour rose that smells just like roses do. The roses are not as intense in sillage as in some other fragrances, but they are still the strongest note in this scent and quite noticeable.
At first, the tea scent is often clearly overshadowed by the roses, making it difficult at times to perceive the white tea or even the mate. Meanwhile, there’s a nice little sweetness coming from the amber.
A little later, the amber becomes weaker, allowing you to perceive the roses for a while until they lose some intensity, at which point you can smell the tea better again. In the end, the scent still smells of sour-floral roses, but also a bit of tea and mate, and is generally not very sweet. The scent is nice, but not particularly special.

**The Sillage and Longevity:**
The scent is truly not a knockout, but at least it is significantly stronger than the beautiful, but admittedly sillage-poor regular White Tea. Because at least I could occasionally perceive this scent without having to sniff closely at my arm, so the scent should still be somewhat noticeable to others from a distance. The longevity is also significantly better. While you could hardly smell the regular White Tea after two hours, you can perceive Wild Rose on the skin for six hours or even a bit longer.

**The Bottle:**
The bottle is rectangular and has a beautiful gradient from white to transparent (from top to bottom). At the bottom of the bottle, the fragrance name is written in pink letters. The neck of the bottle is gold-plated, and the rectangular cap is white. A nice bottle that also feels good in the hand.

So, that was the first flanker of White Tea that I tried here. I didn't like the scent as much as the regular White Tea, which may also be due to the roses, as they came across as too ordinary and thus a bit 0815 boring. The regular White Tea, on the other hand, smelled much nicer of great tea, even though you could only perceive the scent very briefly and very weakly. However, this one has turned out to be more than twice as good in terms of sillage and longevity, even if that might not be immediately noticeable.

If I hadn't also tried the significantly better Vanilla Orchid at the same time, I would now say that the waiting time of about four hours in front of the shelf until all the women finally left so I could test the scent was completely in vain, he he :D

But seriously, the scent is rather mediocre and will probably only be moderately well received. Because for tea lovers, the tea here smells too little, or the scent is too rosy, even though you should be able to smell the tea a bit better towards the end. And for rose lovers, the rose here is too 0815-rosy and thus nothing special. It's a bit of a shame, but well, as I said, there’s still the Vanilla Orchid, which I will probably present here sometime in the coming week, so please be patient, drink tea (but in this heat, preferably only lukewarm), play with the cat, and continue to complain about the upcoming hot days (like I do, yuck, tomorrow it will be hotter than on the surface of the sun again, baaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!).

Dear Don, for once I have the opposite opinion: Vanilla Orchid seems a bit musty to me, while I will wear Wild Rose well into old age. And now I've just reached the midpoint of my life... by the way, regarding Jo Malone Bitter Orange: Chivers orange marmalade is even good for people with sensitive stomachs. With zest, it tastes excellent... I can't do without it anymore. And now I have to go earn some money for my bread rolls ;-)

I tested it a few weeks ago and honestly smelled nothing at all. No tea, no rose, nothing, unfortunately. I think I'll stick with the green one...
My cats find it way too warm to play, and they won't even sleep in bed with this heat, grumble, grumble, grumble...
