A Ghost of a Rose

I really wanted to like this fragrance. With a name like that, I expected a fresh, slightly wild rose, something delicate but alive. Unfortunately, what we get here isn’t a blooming rose, but more like its ghost, diluted in lukewarm water.

White Tea Wild Rose smells faintly of old-fashioned rose water, the kind you might find at the supermarket to freshen up linens or spray on your pillow. It’s a familiar scent, yes, but barely there, as if the perfume itself is unsure whether it wants to exist. Just a few minutes after spraying, it’s already fading into a blur.

Even at a low price point, it’s hard to recommend - unless maybe you’re looking for something to fall asleep to, with the faintest trace of rose. But even then, I find myself a little disappointed. A pity, really.
