Charming scent
One of the very few perfumes I actually like. A perfume that doesn't smell intense and doesn't remind me of deodarant.

Leathery, sweet smell that lasts pretty long. The combination of citruses at the top is not overpowering and quite subtle. What you hear from this perfume the most is the creamy violets, hints of green apple and spicy saffron. It's a veeery gentle scent, yet masculine at the same time. Everything I love about men's perfume is when it's gentle, nice and doesn't bite!! (Unlike Dior's Homme Intense, which I did a review on already. It's absolute opposite of this one)

A very light and neat bottle that you would get to carry around just fine! Comes with a tiny cap that sits tightly.

Would advise to wear during the winter and cold weather, the scent is very warming by itself!

Successful Star-Cheapie
I ordered Enrique's Adrenaline blind a few months ago, as it was really very cheap and the comments and impressions convinced me. Many "star fragrances" receive too little attention because they are quickly dismissed due to their image and price. This applies to some, while others impress across the board. Like some from David Beckham or "Unforgiveable" by Sean John. I could list more, but now to this Iglesias.

Even though most people probably know Iglesias, he is somehow quite unspectacular and more of a "B-celebrity" in Germany, if at all. Nevertheless, the fragrance pyramid convinced me. Plus, a really fair price. 10 euros for 30ml, just under 20 euros for 100ml. It doesn't hurt anyone's wallet. Especially for young gentlemen who are short on cash or bargain hunters like me.
The bottle looks very cheap. Only in the light is it really eye-catching. Great shade of red. Otherwise, typical for the price range.
The scent starts off very fruity with the mandarin. Fruity-sweet, the mandarin appears paired with fresh lemon, which is more in the background as a freshness provider. The spiciness from the heart note starts very early with pepper and saffron. An interesting mix in combination with the mandarin. A well-balanced blend of sweet, spicy, fresh, and fruity. And of course also synthetic, as is almost always the case in this price range. For me, this is not a problem. Sweet tonka bean and soft wood round off the scent in the end. Great creation. Uncomplicated, just like Iglesias' songs usually are. It lifts the mood.
Of course, it's not for fragrance snobs, but rather something for the young "jeans-shirt-sneaker" crowd. In my opinion, it strongly leans towards Joop Go/Jump. Very uncomplicated and should appeal to the younger crowd.

The performance is also decent. The first hours have good sillage and acceptable longevity. It convinces me for this price. Even though I wear it extremely rarely, it's a nice change.

Be my hero
Today, I entered the perfume department with a strong intention to treat myself to Gucci II.

But all the pink boxes were gone.
Well, the price was also high.

However, my wandering eye spotted Adrenaline.
Hmm - Enrique hasn't managed to sing his way into my heart yet, and the name of the fragrance didn't sound enticing either.
But no prejudices, I reminded myself.
And I was right to do so, as I liked the scent immediately.
Not necessarily for me, but I would love to experience it on my dear friend.

The opening is light and aquatic with the mandarin, and the citron adds freshness.
The violet dusts softly, and the pepper provides a mild spiciness.
Invigorating - thankfully without an adrenaline rush.
The saffron gives an exquisite note, wrapped in soft leather.

All the ingredients are finely balanced - nothing overpowers the other.

Yes, this suits my balanced friend.

Despite its transparency, Adrenaline scores with good longevity.
It has already survived a wash on me without being intrusive.

Well, it seems that Enrique does have what it takes to be my hero, as he passionately calls for it in song.

Frustration purchase brings back the good mood
"My goodness, what is going on here?"

Tine, one of the most important people in my life, has her birthday today and it’s pouring rain as I was in the process of buying her a bottle of Dior Hypnotic Poison (of course the big one), 5 yellow roses, and a bottle of Faustino 5.

Of course, I had to go to different stores and got thoroughly soaked in the process.

Douglas was the second to last stop.

The salespeople must have thought something when I came in like a drenched poodle, completely soaked.

I was, of course, at a pulse of 360.75, so I approached the saleswoman; it looked a bit like she had a moment of fear of me.

"Good day, Dior Hypnotic Poison, the largest bottle you have, and please something to calm my nerves."

Thank goodness I saw the relief on the saleswoman’s face that I wasn’t committing a perfume robbery.

Although, wait....;)

We certainly won’t do that ;)

The saleswoman came back beaming with a large bottle of Dior and a bit of adrenaline.

"Are you sure this will calm my nerves?"

"Trying is better than studying."

Boom, right on the wrist.

After paying, I received an additional 8 samples.

I must have done something right ;)

Shortly after getting home, wrapping the gift and flowers, and changing.

Lea, Tine’s daughter, picked me up in the car, and as soon as I sat down, she yelled at me

"What is this crazy stuff you bought, really crazy!"

Trying was worth it.

High Blood Pressure in the Changing Room
I somehow like Enrique Iglesias. He doesn’t come across as aloof despite his worldwide fame & beauty, has been with Kournikowa for ages, and every other summer he releases a danceable club track that spreads good vibes. There are definitely worse, more useless celebrities on this planet - especially the newer ones like Kardashian or YouTube stars. But let’s leave that aside and focus on Enrique's fragrance Adrenaline, which was bound to happen and stared at me every week in the supermarket with its glaring red. It helped; today I sprayed it on...

Definitely a Joop Jump clone, just a good bit more synthetic, scratchy & unpleasant. Many wear it in the McFit changing rooms of this world, fitting with sweat & protein shakes - but beautiful is something else, not even for a few euros. A fruity apple with a lot of sugar straight from the chemistry lab - almost leaning towards RedBull. A lot of tonka, minimal pepper, the rest is monotonous. Okay for teens & better than nothing, still acceptable for celebrities, but for me, it’s just too much. Even though I don’t like to use the term: there’s hardly more synthetic in a perfume, it doesn’t even try to cover it up.

Bottle: red makes it wild... well
Sillage: projects well
Longevity: 4 hours, you have to get through that.

Conclusion: this fragrance is like Enrique's thick wart - it can go!

Good "star scent" at a drugstore price. Fruity mandarin sweetened by tonka bean. Modern creation in the style of Joop Go/Jump. Very nice.

Unremarkably fruity - sweet.
A bit woody over time, but for me, it's more feminine - just like his music.

Fruity sweetness in a bottle. Affordable alternative at the drugstore. If you like this fragrance, you should give it a try. Not my thing, but otherwise good!

Just found it in our bathroom cabinet, must belong to my dad. It's definitely not for young people and smells like a nursing home.
