When I was 13 or 14, I had a strawberry lip gloss: strawberry-scented, slightly sticky, bright red, and in a kitschy glass bottle with a roller applicator. I practically ate it, it was so deliciously strawberry and smelled so good. I have never forgotten that scent and have never found it anywhere else.
Until now! Because "Sexy Graffiti" smells identical (and I mean identical!) to that strawberry lip gloss from my teenage years. I'm almost afraid to spray it on, because I fear getting stuck to my desk or somewhere else with my forearms. So delicious and ridiculously girrrrly!
It's made for a Homecoming Queen (the American ball princess elected to the annual alumni meetings at high schools, colleges, and other educational institutions). Girlish, slightly kitschy, sweet, and definitely American. (If I didn't know that Escada is a German label, I could have sworn that Americans "created" this scent).
And it is soooo strawberry. However (I can't fully agree with Mari on this), to my nose it doesn't smell authentically strawberry, but rather like strawberry flavoring: keyword strawberry lip gloss, of course.
Later on, a slightly squeaky floral note joins the strawberry aroma (I can most clearly smell the lily of the valley), and in the end, a (of course: squeaky!) coziness emerges: White musk stands out clearly here. But the lip gloss strawberry remains until the end!
Hhhhhm, I wish I could be 14 again! The scent touches me deeply: I want to slather on tons of lip gloss, wear eyeliner on my waterline (the teenage classic!), rummage through my closet for pink over-the-knee boots, and hop on the bed to Selena Gomez.
Thank you, dear Mari, for filling me a little bit of this beautiful scent. It is soooo pink :D!
I'm going to jump on the bed now too... --- :-***
