"Sexy Graffiti" was the second perfume from the Escada collection of limited summer fragrances, after "Tropical Punch," that could be described as "fruit punch." Since then, this description has actually applied to all subsequent limited editions. Although they are fundamentally quite interchangeable, they have their fans, and I certainly count myself among them, although I prefer the limited editions from the earlier years due to their individual character. However, since I couldn't have guessed in 2002 that only fruit cocktails would follow from then on, I was genuinely excited about SG at the time.
The berries, especially the strawberry, are easily recognizable and accompanied by a distinct sweetness. This does come across as somewhat candy-like, but in a charming way. The flowers remain more in the background, but are distinct enough to steer the fragrance more towards the floral than the gourmand direction. SG is friendly, sweet without being sticky, and simply lifts your spirits.
Only the title doesn't quite fit! There is nothing sexy about it; the scent strikes me as innocently sweet. Here, I even clicked "Younger" for the classification, which I rarely do. I can actually imagine this perfume on girls who are almost still children. Of course, that doesn't stop me from wearing it at nearly 40. However, only at home, as my bottle already shows the very first signs of tipping. Even though the fragrance direction "floral-fruity" is no longer one of my absolute favorites today, I still give it an 8.0, which is a solid B. I am not familiar with the new version from 2012.
Today's generation probably defines sweet as sexy, while oriental scents, which we used to consider sexy, are now seen as "grandma-like." It's just the way times change. I'm not really into fruity scents either, but the old Escadas are really good.
