Nectar de Costa Rica Escada 2023

On this February 14th, I treated myself to something special. Yes, I know, Valentine's Day is not really celebrated here, and is even viewed somewhat negatively. But I was longing for sunshine, good vibes, and summer. And I just got that with the Nectar from Escada.
Initially, it’s a tropical fruit explosion, mango and pineapple, a bit synthetic, of course. But who cares, it smells damn delicious. And the sun rises.
Way too quickly, a delicate, not at all overpowering musk base reveals itself, very pleasant. The orange blossom with the jasmine takes over, while a very light, zesty mango note lingers in the background. The cedarwood note is there, but hardly noticeable.
I feel like I’ve smelled something similar before, maybe another Escada fragrance?
What remains is a floral cream, with a VERY light mango scent.
For me, there could be more fruit and less blossom, but still, I got a nice dose of sunshine and tropical punch, just what I wished for in the cold February.

Oh yes. The packaging is beautiful, but in my opinion, it doesn’t quite match the scent.
I would have expected more fruit and less orange blossom/musk.
I’m not in an exotic rainforest; instead, I’m observing the trees, palms, and tropical plants from the terrace of an expensive spa while sipping on a mango cream cocktail.

The turquoise bottle is simple and very pretty, and fits wonderfully with the Escada collection.
However, if I had to associate a color with it, it would be creamy yellow or light pastel orange. Definitely not turquoise.
Unfortunately, I can’t say much about the longevity, but at the pace at which the scent "develops," it probably won’t stay on the skin for long.
