Molecule 01 Escentric Molecules 2006

What can I say about Molecule O1 by Escentric Molecules other than it's the discovery of the year for me!!!
It was ordered blindly on the recommendation of perfume influencer/critic Leni's Scents on YouTube, despite being the most expensive perfume I've ever bought and owned in my collection, in my life... Ordered on a platform that focuses more on niche perfumes, the perfume made a good impression on me after unpacking (apart from the brief shock when I didn't find a cap, which is actually intentional/normal). Spraying it on, I liked the woody scent, fresh at first and then warm as it dried, calming, simple. I went out into my garden that day, the wind kept carrying the unobtrusive scent into my face and I liked it at first.

I was reassured about my daring (expensive and blind) purchase, but my main intention was not originally to wear it on its own, but to use it as a booster for my beloved short-lasting perfumes like Chance Eau tendre.... . From that moment on, my love story with this perfume almost came to a very bad end...

Yes, I admit, to achieve my goals and also because it is discreet (but I smell it very well, unlike some people), I may have tended to overdose it. But in combination with some perfumes, I was initially (on the 2nd day after receiving the package) very disappointed that it wasn't even more neutral and discreet. It dominated all the other fragrances every time. By the third day, after testing it even at bedtime, I started to hate this perfume, regretted my purchase, wanted to sell it again and ended up spraying it as a room fragrance in the rooms of my house.

I left it in my closet for a few days, trying to come to terms with my disappointment and mourn it. Then I started to feel his presence in the house, everywhere I had sprayed him. I started wearing him again and realized I actually loved him. My 16-year-old daughter, who is not "particularly" crazy about perfume but always noticed me wearing it, initially said, "It smells good, but it's not really my thing." But this morning, a few weeks later, she kissed me before she left for school and said: "You're wearing Molecule O1"? Me: Uh... No... Well, yes, but only last night on the way to bed. Her: "I love it now!" I would say that this fragrance is very special. There have been many ups and downs between him and me in such a short time. But today I have no regrets about buying this perfume. It's a unique fragrance experience and I love layering it with Chance Eau tendre, even if I haven't noticed the booster effect yet.
