The Ghost in the Shell Etat Libre d'Orange 2021

This perfume opens with a just getting out of the shower smell like. It has a white floral note, creamy and lactonic, smooth and almost sweet. But on my skin, this lactonic aspect amplifies and takes on a particular turn. It distinctly reminds me of that rubbery smell you get when you open a new doll, like that slightly sweet synthetic plastic meant to mimic the softness of skin. It's strangely nostalgic, but also a little unsettling.

I get the idea: this perfume seems to evoke the smell of a humanoid robot, designed to mimic human softness, but with an underlying artificial touch. It's pure and strangely intimate, but still with that rubbery, synthetic edge that shines through.
