I always used to be confused when I read people wear scents to bed -- now I get it.

This is the softest glow of light, slowest exhale of breath, simplest peace of mind.
This scent is Major Motoko Kusangi on top that building in the first opening scene of GITS. She's smelling the cool night air, reveling in her bodily existence with all its confines and boundaries. She knows she's about to jump and pull the slickest move in all of copaganda media, but she's also here - right now - on top a building bathing in twinkling red aviation lights that stretch out into a sea of glass infinitum.

These are your dreams, sleeping in this scent.

Bubble Bath for Cyborgs

Sometimes I want to blend into the global economic machine without becoming consumed by it and this fragrance helps me do that. I smell good but also invisible and autonomous.

The yuzu, jasmine, and milk accords create a creamy citrus skin scent that is yummy and energizing. The synthetic accords are weird like soapy plastic but still compelling.

I don’t feel particularly attractive when I wear it. I feel clean and uplifted and unnoticeable—which is nice—like I have secret superpowers and need to be left alone in order to use them. I wear Ghost in the Shell to work when I want to get things done with minimal distractions. It helps me focus by entertaining my cyborg fantasies.

Out of all the narrative briefs and fragrances from Etat Libre d’Orange, I like this one the most and they have certainly succeeded in creating something uncanny and enjoyable. The frosted pink skin and the green and black label make the bottle a standout design from the house.

Creamy, feminine yuzu

I honestly don't know how to really describe this beautiful creation. It is undeniably synthetic yet so humane and feminine. The tech aspect to me is more of a placebo thanks to the marketing.

I smell a woman who just took a shower, drenched herself in a coconut lotion and theres also a bit of yuzu around. Creamy citrus basically. Dancing on the line between unisex and feminine and I like it. It is weird at first but it grows on you slowly, very interesting take on a "second skin" type of scent, though not a good idea to blind buy, but I definitely recommend to try it if you can.

Uncannily clean

this one is incredibly interesting in the best way possible. Yes it’s a clean scent profile, but it’s a unique one. This opens very fresh and metallic, with bright citrus. It feels like if you asked a robot to make you yuzu lemonade. The florals here are so…transparent? They don’t read overtly floral, they’re airy and light and offer a hint of earthy sweetness here, mixed with a creamy lactonic skin like scent. The best way I can describe it is the smell of a baby’s head, and for anyone that has smelled that you would know how crazy good it smells for no reason at all. To me it smells like maybe if you asked AI to replicate the smell of a baby, it’s oddly sweet, somewhat human like, a bit fresh, but there’s something making it not spot on, which is okay. The dry down is earthy but not in a rich or deep way, but an airy earthiness, a fresh one, with an almost cold metallic undertone. This is an intoxicating smell and it’s so hard to pinpoint what about it is so good, but I think it works, in all its odd nature.

Welcome synthetic skin. You're clean and maybe not real. To you it's a comfort. To others potentially a warning. An uncanny valley that seems real but maybe you aren't a cyborg but a robot after all.

You chose to be high femme, but all your coworkers question why. Why haven't you upgraded to a male chassis? You smirk, this one suits you fine. You like the smell.
