Flower Ceremony
Johannes Kühn's greatest wish was to be part of the Flower Ceremony at this year's Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof, which he achieved with a strong sixth place. Unfortunately, I never received such a bouquet as recognition for a sporting success during my active time as a long-distance runner. Not all classic running events host a Flower Ceremony. And when there was one, I was unfortunately too slow.
Flowers and blossoms always manage to bring me joy during my sporting activities. I love their colors and their scents. Besides a sky that turns into the most beautiful shades of pink, red, and orange in the morning, sometimes even purple, the enchanting forest lakes in our region delight me almost the most on my morning runs. They show me that after a long winter, and despite often still icy temperatures in the mornings, I no longer have to wait long for the long-awaited spring. And that always makes me very happy, as I am not a big fan of winter.
This joy is also conveyed by Etro's Royal Pavillon. A Flower Ceremony to spray on, so to speak. This fragrance is lush and so spring-like that the winter blues are quickly forgotten. A wonderful jasmine note, tropical ylang-ylang, tuberoses, magnolias, and roses announce the brighter, warmer season. The scent reminds me of lush blooming shrubs in spring that exude a similar aroma.
Despite its opulence, Royal Pavillon feels wonderfully natural to me. I always have the feeling of standing outside in the spring sun, welcoming a beautiful day. The animalic notes that some perfumers have perceived here are fortunately not particularly dominant for me. Or the flowers simply have so much power that beavers & co. always remain nicely in the background.
Of course, this beautiful floral scent, launched by the Italian house in the late eighties, is no longer available. For me, alongside musk, it is the most beautiful of this brand. Or at least one of the most beautiful.
A big thank you to Violett for the testing opportunity.

Etro always has a surprise in store. I've never come across this scent, but the combination seems quite classic and should appeal to me as well.
You'll definitely get a bouquet from me!
💐
I'm not a big fan of floral scents (lucky me, I don't have to look for this one).
Maybe you'll find it somewhere...
It's a shame, but I'm glad you got to know it.
