Reformulated! Total disappointment!
Shaal Nur has been reformulated and is at most a pale shadow of his former character.

Shaal Only had something of its own, there were few similar fragrances.
Every now and then I took him out and enjoyed him very much.
A few days ago I bought a new bottle and was very disappointed.
The fragrance in the new design hardly smells like the fragrance
which was still available to buy about 8 years ago.
And so it has been with many older fragrances in recent months and years,
that I wanted to buy.
Warehouse field v. Warehouse field,
Obsession for Men v. C. Klein,
Rocabar v. Hermès
and so on...
They're not the same scents anymore!
And it annoys me immensely that the manufacturers change their recipes and sell us new fragrances under the same name!
Am I the only one? That's actually cheating.
A new fragrance was supposed to be labelled. Or am I exaggerating? Anyway, Shaal Nur has been changed. I hab´ sprayed it on a few times,
but you can really forget him!
I still have a little rest of the old scent and can compare both directly.
This oriental warmth is gone, the slightly citric note in the earlier head has given way to a now artificially sweet fruitiness. Also he is a little more herbaceous.
ETRO, shame on you!!!!
I can't give any rating here, because I can't distinguish between the old and the reformulated scent in the rating.
Actually, Parfumo should also have a section for reformulations or another possibility where users can comment and express their opinions on obviously reformulated fragrances, or a
Clearer possibility to be able to warn against reformulations
(and most of them in my opinion don't come close to the original and as I read again and again in the forums and commissions, I'm not the only one who notices reformulations).
If I had learned more about the reformulation of some fragrances on Parfumo,
i would NOT have bought many more fragrances and would not only have a lot of money
but, what matters more,
i could have saved myself some disappointments and trouble.
