enchanted alleys, dreaming courtyards

During my strolls through Italian cities, I must have transformed into a different "me" beforehand.
It’s the only explanation for why I, a delicate blonde - albeit only during the day - wandered through picturesque old town alleys that were hardly frequented by tourists. I simply felt safe!
The watching and wondering, the fascination with something so foreign to me, made me forget all caution.
For my mom and part of my friend circle, it was unimaginable and surely a bit frightening when they saw through the photos where I had been wandering again.
And I already knew why I didn’t show them photos of particularly tranquil courtyards - which I entered quite naturally - it was better they didn’t know everything!

In one of these dreaming courtyards, something astonishing and completely unexpected happened.
In a winding old town alley, where old women still sat in front of their houses with their knitting and accompanied by their cats, and the floral decorations on the houses made one forget the laundry drying across the alley, a wrought-iron gate, which was open, beckoned me.
The adventurer in me "had to" go through there, and so I found myself in a courtyard whose aura still fascinates me today. I discovered a special idyll in the midst of an Italian city.
The masonry of the surrounding buildings was in very poor condition; in our country, such a thing would surely be a target for the wrecking ball.
But that was quickly forgotten: blooming plants climbed over these rough surfaces; on every windowsill stood pots and flower boxes with vibrantly blooming plants, and large tubs with oleander and palms offered not only shade. No, they also formed an almost complete "roof".
Welcome to the Mediterranean jungle, radiating a welcome coolness! I spun around like a little propeller: the desire to experience, see, and inhale everything was enormous!
Caught in this green dream, I was startled when I was greeted with a cheerful "Buon Giorno, Signora!": Oh, Mamma Mia! Where did that come from?
In a corner of this private botanical garden, almost hidden by leaves, flowers, and vines, stood a wooden table and several chairs. There sat a not-so-young but exceptionally beautiful woman with a cup of espresso and a journal that she had just set down.
She smiled radiantly with unpretentious friendliness and offered me a chair and - you won’t believe it! - an espresso! Genuine hospitality that left me in awe.
At that time, my Italian was sufficient for a casual conversation; so we spent more than an hour chatting: initially with espressos, later with a large pitcher of homemade lemonade!
From the impression, we could have been familiar friends.
I could have taken photos, but I forgot about that: I was living in a dream and enjoying every moment in this courtyard, in this company!

What exactly about "Vicolo Fiori" brings this memory back to life so vividly, I do not know.
During the first testing, it was a déjà vu of a special kind; the images intertwined:
I was wandering again through flower-filled alleys and eventually landed in this courtyard!

Bellflower and mandarin give this fragrance painting a girlishly delicate opening.
This bright and light impression is maintained for a long time by rather "watery" fragrance notes, such as melon, water lily, and lotus: "Vicolo Fiori" becomes fresh, yet still acquires an aromatic roundness.
The slightly bitter, wonderfully old-fashioned cyclamen and plenty of rose scent provide femininity in an unpretentious form.
The white peach fits in, being rather delicate and fine-fruity; ylang-ylang weaves everything into golden nets.
Thus, a veil of fragrance full of grace is created.
The components of the base note were also dosed for this flower alley full of feeling and without powerful peaks up or down.
Musk and vanilla are present but appear reserved and therefore elegant.
Iris "powders" against the always somewhat omnipotent sandalwood; both meet in the middle - and that’s a good thing!
Amber finally lays the gold of the evening sun over this wonderfully fragrant alley and invites one to linger!

I gladly follow this invitation and spend some harmonious hours with this floral and very friendly scent lady.
A floral freshness that even at the end still retains a hint of virginity is a surprisingly delightful fragrance development.
I encounter rather idiosyncratic fragrance notes here that correspond very well with each other, bringing to life a simply beautiful fragrance creature.
This summer scent, which surrounds one in an uncomplicated and charming way, deserves attention.
"Vicolo Fiori" is not a spectacular fragrance; it is remarkable and lovable in its entirety!
This scent is an invitation to quiet enjoyment, to chatting, and to rediscovering lost or forgotten feelings.
Following this flower alley is worthwhile for anyone still open to the "little things" in life.

So beautifully described, this scent has accompanied me for a long time; I might need to bring it back into my life. I've often experienced those moods in Italian cities, but such a lovely invitation...
But I've often encountered cheerful and lovable people there. I enjoy it just as much as you do.
