Sensual Intensity
Parfumerie Générale - 15 Ilang Ivohibe starts off Mediterranean - herbal and subtly sweet - creamy.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to our perfumer "reni379" for the sample.

At first, one can perceive something very pleasantly Mediterranean and slightly herbal, which provides a certain maritime freshness and is thanks to the lavender.

In the background, there is a subtle sweet and slightly creamy nuance that has been used in such a way that the lavender is slightly enhanced and gains a beautiful substance, originating from the vanilla.

This constellation is noticeable on my skin for 20 minutes before the heart note unfolds.

Now, something opulent - floral, very sweet is perceptible, bringing an engaging sensual intensity, attributed to the Ylang-Ylang.

In the background, there is something deep - creamy, slightly floral that merges with the Ylang-Ylang into a whole and ensures that the heart note receives a beautiful tangible, yet simultaneously illuminating substance, coming from the iris.

The heart note is perceptible on my skin for 4 hours before the base takes over.

Now, something very delicate, gentle, and subtly earthy is noticeable, providing a pleasant conclusion to the base and originating from the patchouli.

Overall, the scent lasts 8 hours on my skin.

Unfortunately, the sillage is designed from the beginning in such a way that one is only perceived when someone is sitting directly next to them, and this is maintained until the scent fades.

My PG Summer Dream
Even a spice bomb lover like me needs one or two scents for the summer season.
When it’s really hot, and my usual fragrance choices are a no-go because they might not bother me, but could potentially disturb others.
What could be better than to look at my favorite fragrance brand PG? And of course, I found what I was looking for,
two fragrances for the summer.
One of them is the beautiful Ilang Ivohibe No.15.
The top note is listed as orange, which I personally do not recognize as such. To my nose, it is the orange blossom that I detect.
For me, it remains the main floral note of this fragrance. Wonderfully complemented by gentle jasmine and ylang-ylang. Floral, yes, but not overwhelming, rather wonderfully powdery and balanced.
That’s my impression, and floral scents aren’t really my thing.
After a short time, a soft wood and vanilla note also emerge. I only perceive the musk at the very end, when the fragrance is almost saying goodbye.
In summary.
A dreamy summer scent, softly floral, beautifully powdery, with a lightly woody and vanilla undertone.
For me, it’s a women’s fragrance, but if a man likes it, why not?
Longevity and sillage are typical for PG. However, I can imagine that it performs even better in the summer.

Hit, sunk!
Finally, a "hit" that has made a strong impression right away. Sometimes I like a perfume except for the top note or some other fragrance component that isn't quite my thing. You bravely push through until the moment arrives when what you like comes through, and that's why you ultimately enjoy the scent. Felanilla No.21 is such a case for me - I still haven't gotten used to the strongly medicinal top note (extremely powdery iris), but the wonderful, realistic vanilla note that follows makes it worth it to make this compromise.

With Ilang Ivohibe (which also comes from Pierre Giaume), I have no "buts." The fragrance is beautifully fruity, smelling of tart orange in the top note, which remains throughout and gives the whole thing the "fresh kick" that I especially love in summer. The flowers don't come across as overly sweet-floral, but rather fresh and light. I have been put off by Ilang and jasmine in other fragrances, but here it just works....

The whole thing is built on a lovely wood-musk base. The vanilla reminds me of that in Felanilla, so absolutely not sweet, but beautifully spicy, which pairs perfectly with the orange.

For summer, the fragrance is ideal, not too overpowering and beautifully refreshing. However, the longevity could be better.

Let's see how the football match between Germany and Denmark turns out tonight. If there's a victory, this lovely scent might be associated with a positive memory.

unusual gourmand
I couldn't imagine anything about No. 15 before I looked it up here.

When I read Ylang, I was quite surprised, as the scent somehow reminded me of Christmas. Spices, cinnamon, and gourmand notes greeted me.

I do smell flowers as well, but for me, this scent is more of a treat.
It has a lovely, almost sweet aroma, but very pleasant with a strong and beautiful spicy aura. Together with the floral notes, it is still very harmonious and also unusual.

Lavender and Ylang end up smelling too soapy and overall very outdated. Soapy skin scent

Bright natural lavender note, fresh and powdery at the same time, with hints of coumarin and a subtle unsweetened white floral note: very fine!

Not a humid tropical bomb, as the name suggests. Beautiful floral lavender without herbal notes. It gets warmer over time.

Ylang-Ylang is only noticeable in the top note. Woody-spicy-sweet, powdered lavender. Good.

Green plastic almond (Benzaldehyde & Heliotropin), anise-coumarin-lavender. Latex-like/cashmeran and bitter-buttery, leathery iris/patchouli.

Starts with traditional shaving soap. 2. waxy then aromatic-green-spicy on tongue/lips. Ylang+Patch+lots of lavender=unharmonious.

Lavender, vanilla, then it gets quirky and reminds me of snack bars. Fries or Asian. Ylang like in the name. Ends harmlessly ordinary.

At first, Mediterranean - herbal, sweet - creamy, with an opulent - floral - creamy heart that gently - earthy fades out.
