Brompton - the neighborhood scent for eternity

Brompton is a neighborhood in London. In this area lie Kensington Palace, Harrods, and also the hospital named after the Brompton Cocktail. I'll briefly explain what the Brompton Cocktail is.
A medication cocktail for seriously ill patients, designed to ease the suffering of those in the final stages, e.g., with cancer. Opioids galore and you feel good and should ideally be pain-free - hallucinations are apparently partially included. This cocktail was administered around 1920; similar treatments today are only available as tinctures.

Brompton Immortals is likely a tribute to Harrods, as the fragrance is available there. The scent is a wonderful floral fragrance, with the rose particularly standing out on my skin. And it's not incense as I previously described, but saffron that gives a slightly smoky note at the beginning, along with a bit of pepper and patchouli. This is rounded off by vanilla. BI is a beautiful, rounded, and warm scent. It envelops and lulls you. The rose becomes increasingly beautiful over time, and a bit of incense comes in towards the end.

I initially wrote about the Brompton Cocktail because I find the idea lovely of having a scent that can accompany you into the beyond.

As with all fragrances from Ex Nihilo, the atomizer is sensational again. The longevity is very good and the sillage is nice. Midnight Special also comes from Ex Nihilo, which I find similarly beautiful, just rosier and more potent due to the added oud.

I like that with the cocktail, and even if the Ex Nihilos might not protect against fading, they definitely make life more beautiful-and the part about the spray nozzle is true too. Great brand and comment!

I'm impressed :) Once again, a great review of an interesting fragrance with background! Unfortunately, due to a morphine allergy, the Brompton cocktail will be off-limits for me, but hope springs eternal...

A great scent, simply top-notch! And a very nice description. The word immortality in the name of the perfume also has a special meaning and likely refers to an ancient ritual where participants believed they could achieve eternal life by inhaling certain perfumes (just like you mentioned when they are sick).

The whole thing with the Harrods-exclusive fragrances is just so unfair after Brexit. Not that I need a Brompton cocktail too. Haha!
