Immortals not immortelle
I bought this perfume blindly after I read the description online, yeah I am gullible that way !
I liked the idea that the perfumer has created a perfume using an old Egyptian legend of immortality for the famous London Department Store Harrods.
The store is located on Brompton Road, hence the name!
The perfume comes in brown glass bottle, like the rest of the Ex-Nihilo Babylon collection. It opens up with a burst of saffron which is quickly joined by a huge floral Cloud, mainly rose and jasmine.
To my nose the jasmine is more prominent. The saffron persists throughout this floral explosion, reminiscent of BR540. The sillage is monstrous and the flowery Symphony lasts almost for the duration of the wearing. The fragrance has a strong perfume hoodie or silky scarf that accompanied me all day. This is something I like in my perfumes, like Oud Satin Mood or Exquisite Embroidery. Brompton Immortals seems to get stronger throughout the day. The dry down on the skin is a smooth incensy/ spicy vanilla. This is a beautiful creation, on the sweet side. The saffron and the Egyptian legend gives it the Oriental edge.
