Almost My Signature Scent
I (27F) received Exceptional Parfums' Simply Belle as a free sample dabber and fell in love with it on first sniff. It has checked all the boxes for me - except one.

It is bright, fresh, and uplifting without being overly juicy or juvenile. For me, it is the perfect ratio of floral to citrus, without one overpowering the other, nor blending so much that it smells overripe or sharp. I appreciate its simple and straightforward scent, as complex and wood-based blends gives me a headache. Its drydown melds into a sort of youthful, musky skin scent on me, still keeping that same floral-citrus blend with no specific notes screaming out.

I ordered this perfume in the winter and have been wearing it even in colder months, but it would definitely fall under a spring and summer scent. I could wear this any time of the day, but would envision it more of a refreshing morning and afternoon scent.

The one disappointment and only box it does not check is its longevity. It disappears after the first hour on my skin, which is quite disappointing for an EDP. On clothes, it lasts around two to three hours. There is almost no sillage after the first half hour, so on the positive side, it is safe for the office. Its market price is reasonable, so I don't feel guilty generously spraying it around like an EDT. I am currently trying different methods in hopes of prolonging its scent on me.

All in all, this would 100% be my signature scent if the longevity was better.

Not worth it
I was given a bottle of Simply Belle to try it out. It’s not impressive. The floral notes don’t stand out singularly. I can make out Lily of the valley and Waterlily only. The rest falls together into a soup. At the end there’s a bit of musk, but overall this perfume doesn’t change much over time.
The scent is unappealing to me. It could be my personal chemistry that doesn’t boost the perfume. I don’t know.

The sillage is about 18 inches tops, longevity blessedly short. I don’t know how much it is new, but I wouldn’t buy it for myself. Perhaps a teenage girl might enjoy it.

Clean powdery white musk thing. Very laundry detergent. Actually unpleasant. Get an Egyptian musk oil instead.

Boring. Smells like the flower shaped soap bars that grandma wouldn’t ever let anyone use because they were “decorative.” Definitely not worth buying.
