…….Transitions…….
Do you know anyone who wears transitional jackets?
Well, just like now, it’s no longer winter but not yet spring.
The first crocuses are still quite shy,
like when a snail briefly peeks out of its house, only to retreat back into its cozy shell..
When I ride my bike to work in the morning, I need my padded coat,
but by noon it’s already too warm for me..
There are also jackets that are advertised as “home outside,”
I really enjoy being outside.
I don’t know. But who would really want to be permanently at home there…
Then there’s, “it’s so clean, you can eat off the floor,” like at my cousin’s place, for example.
I wouldn’t want to eat off the floor anywhere…I have a table.
Sorry for my train of thought, spring inspires me to fantasize..
This little old-fashioned scent with its few ingredients is a phenomenon.
It can be worn as a transitional, main, secondary, cozy, comforting, all-weather, multi-situation
….FRAGRANCE….
It existed in my youth, in the 70s, as bath oil, for the whole family, so to speak, when everyone had to get in the tub one after the other or at the same time.
So my sisters and I, my parents bathed solo and it was locked.
Woe to anyone
who needed to go to the bathroom in between….
It still exists, it’s practically impossible to kill, a price that could be called witty..
It always comes in handy when you don’t want to wear perfume, when you have little time to think about what would suit today’s work or breakfast at Tiffany’s..
Or when little fits, as your head is full of fantastic stories
that don’t want to say anything grand but sweeten everyday life..
It’s likely to be the patchouli again, which for a long time subtly extends its
feelers towards me, but doesn’t touch me.
Or the slightly powdery tenderness that stays in my blouse for days..
If someone were to leave a scent trail with it, I would have to follow her…like butterflies taking a trip to the floral paradise of a garden center, always following the feelers… and by the way, if anyone is interested, I work in the logistics of the same and in the pet department, this fine scent also fits well among dog and cat treats, which smell through the packaging too.
