That sounds so terrible, I can't even think of a witty pun. 🥺
Do you have any of his incense left to recalibrate your nose? He usually does those really well.
Ha, when the wittiest people have nothing left to say, everything has been said about the scent. 😉 I'm currently testing the others. They’re actually very nice.
Shaking my head... What is this company thinking? Is this what they call artistic freedom? Or is it just an attempt to make a lot of money with cheap chemicals?
Unfortunately, this is the worst one from the Unum collection for me. This house has so many great scents, especially when it comes to incense, and then we get this super bland Ambroxan-musk-aquatic mush.
Filippo 🙈 Back on the wild ride. Why are the top and base notes switched? And then there's a heavy dose of Ambroxan... it's really hard to understand this new release!
At least something useful for home as an addition. 😅
If you find this type of ambrox to be sharp-woody & penetrating, then it must be a super amber... Ambrocenide & co. are really popular right now. It's a shame he uses it (in quite a high amount).
I don't think they're swapped; I think the pyramid is flat (which doesn't really make sense, but you know what I mean :)) I've only perceived them partially in the given order.
With the scissors, you have to cut open the packaging, if I'm not mistaken... Don't judge me, I didn't come up with the concept. ;)
* I only read the press release after the test. Fear? The presentation is already dark & over the top! Even more surprising is that a piercingly bright top note hits my nose. Woodsy meets amber & masses of musk. I haven't encountered such an oversized, room-filling top note, with synthetic undertones lurking, in a while. By the time we transition to the middle note, the fragrance turns into a penetrating aquatic. I think I smell Ambrox, all blown up to the maximum allowable body volume. It has a somewhat trivial floral aspect. The attempt to introduce a bit of grit with dark galbanum is irritating. Friction is good, but this one really rubs and stings in my nose. It finds its calm in a soapy, sweetish territory. I would have thought this was a designer scent. Looking at the concept & the price leaves me even more puzzled. So puzzled that I can't even come up with a good closing line.
With this specialist (Sorcinelli) and his unique fragrances, I could actually imagine that I might like this scent this time, based on your description.

Looks like that's the case here too 😵💫
Why am I not surprised anymore?
Better to smell a nice classic as a countertherapy!
😂😂😂😂
